It's so nice to hear someone else call the Toyota Tacoma ( TACO ) as I listen to my husband talk about taco's everyday . He was a car/ Truck hauler for over 25yrs b4 with same company he became a Terminal Manager- He gets great deals for all our family & friends- but you already have a new one , That Dodge looks like New also , You must be like my husband He takes very good care of His Truck - which we just traded his Tundra for a Ford F250 , as he couldn't pass up what they were offering him , More then we paid last year for the Tundra ! Crazy , even our oldest Son got an offer for more then he paid for his Tundra from last year - but he didn't want to take the chance of not finding another like what my Husband got him .... Remember, as a kid on the farm, my father buying black strap molasses and mixing it with dry feed for the cows. Ate many a hot buttered biscuit after sopping it in a pool of blackstrap poured onto my plate. Today, I keep a goodly supply of Grandma's Molasses on the pantry shelf. Haven't seen blackstrap locally in years. Thanks for sharing happy cows. God Bless. PS: I've got a old beater pickup truck, too. 1990 Dodge Dakota. Well worth keeping insurance and tags on it for odd jobs.

I never was a fan of the soft poured tubs from tractor supply. As you see in this video the cows can eat the molasses instead of lick it out. Therefore they don't last very long. The hard baked tubs are more expensive but they will last at least twice as long as these tubs. Just a personal preference I guess. In the last few years Iv went to liquid feed, got tired of wrestling around the heavy tubs all the time. Now I just pick up the phone & its delivered, no more hassle.

Those white bulls really make a nice calf for sure. These are all registered so we can’t cross breed.

A lot of people swear by that Redman's salt and mineral block with garlic for fly control on their cows. Might be worth looking at rather than repeatedly spraying your cows with chemicals.

I can attest to the fact Redmond's works. When I'm not able to source the block, I add granulated garlic and kelp to their mineral conditioner and #4 salt in their tub, fill with water and it dries in this Texas panhandle wind. The crust that forms prevents anything from blowing away. Problem solved. October is a terrible month for flies for us. We have a feedlot 5 miles south, another 5 miles north. When winds shift, they bring a fresh rush of vermin. Our pastured cattle are followed by chickens so I know the vast majority of flies aren't from them, it's from the CAFOs.

@@BIGALTX I despise CAFOs with a passion. When society completely crumbles and they're forced to put those cattle back into the surrounding pastures, we'll be ever so thankful. Healthier animals and meat, less flies and improved property values.

Need to spray, but I've seen worse for sure. It's hard to keep them off for very long. The spray only lasts a few days. 😎
