In my 30’s and still revisiting this album, Kezia has aged pretty well.

they are amazing live. regardless how much they put into this performance i've seen them too many times to count on my fingers and toes, and they have never failed to impress me. they are all stand up guys outside of the music and proud to say i come from the same province as these musical geniouses
@superbond214 жыл бұрын
I love this group. Seriously one of the most talented groups of musicians to play together ever. This performance does NOT do them justice.

I remember seeing this video on one of the heavy metal shows and was confused as fuck lol but in a good way,, i was a hardcore/metal kid and this and a bunch of influences crankin into somethin I hadn’t really heard much of? That Kezia album is pretty dam good! Here I am 16yrs later listening to the jams .. dam time flys!🤔

Bloodmeat live video has Arif singing those parts near the end Also, I'm pretty sure Arif did the lower screams in Kezia

I;ve been an alubm listener for a decade. Never believed he could do the voice live. Oh boy. Was I wrong!!!!!!
@alexstypes14 жыл бұрын
@wakiza777 I wasn't talking about this specific song, I was pointing out that if a band's lyrical content references all the above I mentioned...then they're far from emo. Its not just bloodmeat, its bone marrow, limb from limb and Goddess bound and gagged. Don't be so condescending, I know my shit about PtH. Hell...even partied with 'em. Nice try though.
@ThinkingIsHard1311 жыл бұрын
its funny cuz at 1:11 it seems like for just a SPLIT second...they play it at full speed haha
@horseface66613 жыл бұрын
@TheScrewball1982 Well actually, i am the backup vocalist/guitarist in a band and I do singing as well as screams, that plays live about monthly, so yes i do have some knowledge about vocals. I have sung protest the hero and I do know how the pitch of which rody sings is straining on the voice. Screams when done correctly, cause no strain and are basically easier, so it is likely he does it as a tactic to preserve his voice for later shows and hide his voice cracks.
@89ry8912 жыл бұрын
everybody hating on this video I agree you do have perfect reason. but on the other hand I really like this video because it shows them playing the song at a slower rate and thats unusual but I really kind of like it.

honestly, are there ANY other metal bands out there these days that have clean vocals? that are also just as good as PTH?

@eve2130 its called rythm. have you ever tried to actually write lyrics vocals to the rhythm of a song? aside from that, have you ever tried to write lyrics to a song with lots of time signature/tempo changes? the vocals not only have to match pitch wise, they have to match rythmically too. and its just as difficult to do vocals that way, as it is to actually play the instruments.
@pseudoshdr14 жыл бұрын
@Sup3rH4nZ You can't blame the sound guy for not playing the song at the right tempo or for the numerous mess ups on their guitar parts.

@corybiro that's fine if you don't like their sound...but calling it emo is kind of ridiculous. Lyrics about Genghis Kahn, villages being destroyed and the Goddess Fladias is pretty far from emo. Juuuuust sayin.

Ironically, the high cleans--which arguably take a bit of talent to pull off--are pulled off very well, whereas the harsher parts--which usually don't take much skill--sound awful. Haha. Pretty good performance! Glad to see he can actually sing live.

@Equivalence4 Wow first of all I didn't imply that I explained that, you did! I simply said I can execute things correctly. Second of all your trying to diss me on my half assed put together improvised videos that have an obviously stupid title! A round of applause to to the dufus that tried to diss someone who already disses their own videos! PTH is a good "studio band," but can't play their material for shit live and I've seen more than just this video and have a live album.
