that is the way things should be: United Irishmen!, whatever political color and religion, republicans or unionists, a united Ireland would be a much happier place to be... a loose confederacy? who knows? there are other countries that do function well, even having many cultures, religions and languages, like for instance Switzerland. Just respecting the other and thriving for the common good. Is this an impossible goal for a united Ireland? c'mon as a chilean (the land of O'Higgins) of non forgotten partly irish origin and identity I would really like to see a united Ireland, soon! Brexit might trigger it anyway...

This is the thinking Ireland needs... As a Catholic born Nationalist, I want the Unionists and even Loyalists on this island to see me as a brother , just as I see them as my fellow people. I want a new better Ireland where everyone feels included... I don't know exactly what that Ireland will look like , but it will be glorious and beautiful when we all finally come together as one people.

No mention of the 100s of thousands "croppies" hung from trees and Celtic crosses throughout Ireland during the rebellion. In Meath alone 50,000 were hung, God knows how many in Wexford, their ghosts haunt us today.
