In tears right now. What an arrogant Protestant I have been. I was born and raised babptist/ non-denominational and had never even heard much about Catholicism. After a friend began telling me about it and asking me questions I couldn’t answer I have now begun my journey home since 6 months ago. It has been amazing and hard at the same time as I’ve had so many friends and family get so angry with me. They have tried to turn my own 14 and 10 year old against me saying I am leading them away from God and into a very weird path that isn’t the truth. My children are now so confused and it’s been hard explaining. They think I going through a midlife crisis and don’t want to accept any of it just like I taught them to never accept it. Needing lots of prayer. Thank you Dr Hann for sharing your own personal struggles.

We all just genuinely want to welcome you home, for like in the story of the prodigal son, you were once lost and now have been found. Welcome home 🏠 please allow me that joy, I want to celebrate your homecoming with the Father, k? ❤️

Welcome home St. Cyprian of Carthage “The Lord says to Peter: ‘I say to you,’ he says, ‘that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church.’ . . . On him [Peter] he builds the Church, and to him he gives the command to feed the sheep [John 21:17], and although he assigns a like power to all the apostles, yet he founded a single chair [cathedra], and he established by his own authority a source and an intrinsic reason for that unity. Indeed, the others were that also which Peter was [i.e., apostles], but a primacy is given to Peter, whereby it is made clear that there is but one Church and one chair. So too, all [the apostles] are shepherds, and the flock is shown to be one, fed by all the apostles in single-minded accord. If someone does not hold fast to this unity of Peter, can he imagine that he still holds the faith? If he [should] desert the chair of Peter upon whom the Church was built, can he still be confident that he is in the Church?” (The Unity of the Catholic Church 4; 1st edition [A.D. 251]).

As a Protestant, did you know the Lord? Jesus said, "This is eternal life, that you know God and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent." Are you aware of the presence of God in your life? Jesus said, "Whoever believes in Me will have rivers of living water bubbling up inside them." Do you have that? Do you not see that a Christian is someone who has called upon the Name of the Lord and is, therefore, born again? If you add all the Catholic doctrines like the necessity of baptism for salvation, then you are at war with God. Jesus said, "Whoever asks will receive." You apparently did not know the Lord when you were a Protestant and I fear that your situation has not improved. You have no doubts about your Catholic faith? Is that based on your own self-worship, that the Catholic church 'makes sense' to you or do you know the Lord and are seated in the heavenlies with Christ? Jesus died on a Cross so that, just by asking, we may know Him. He said, "Ask and you shall receive"! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Scott Hahn's book "Rome Sweet Home" was the final book I read as a lifelong Protestant researching the Catholic Church. My ego didn't want to accept the conversion I was experiencing, but the moment I finished reading his book I knew I had finally found home. A year later on the morning of my first Communion acknowledging myself as a member of the Catholic faith, I wrote Mr. Hahn a letter thanking him

I’m a cradle Catholic who was just a passive Catholic who didn’t understand the teachings of the church. Last year during the quarantine I started to go deeper in my faith. I got so inspired first time I listened to the audio about Scott Hahn’s conversion story. This is my third time listening to this audio and I’m still brought to tears. So touching and inspiring. I love Scott Hahn’s audios and videos. I bought 2 of his books online for the first time today. Excited to read them. 🤍🤍🤍

How can Protestants go so far in life and never addressed Sola Scriptura, especially after what John said at the end about there being so much more teachings than in gospels.. Early fathers demonstrate that. I’m very surprised that Dr Hahn was so surprised at the question about Sola Scriptura.

I became Catholic in 2014. I was raised in a spiritual/secular home. I recognized when I was five that I wanted to be catholic. I wanted to be a nun. I didn’t get to become a nun. I fought the urge to join for 29 years. My family totally hated catholicism. My dad was kind of atheist in a way, but he believed in demons. When he divorced my mom he waited 10 years to marry my step mom, then he became Christian Buddhist. She is Vietnamese. My dad died a few years before I became catholic. I had some hope, knowing there was a resurrection, that my prayers may still help him. Thank God.

Asaph Vapor the Christians being persecuted from 33-311 were Catholic Christians: catholic meaning “according to the whole”. These were Christians who accepted the whole of Jesus’ teachings. The word “Roman” in Roman Catholic Church is pointing to the Latin Rite of Catholicism. This is one form of the One church. This does not mean that it is from the Roman Empire; it means it is led by the first bishop of Rome who was Peter. There are Byzantine Catholic Churches, Greek Catholic Churches, Coptic Catholic Churches, and many more. They all belong to the one, holy, catholic (universal), apostolic church. They were persecuted after Jesus death, they were persecuted in Europe during the reformation, and they were persecuted in Nazi Germany. Catholic Christians are, historically, the most persecuted group to ever exist. I’d invite you to check out the KZbin page Catholic Answers or another page called How To Be Christian if you have any questions about Catholic Christians.

theStashSmash: I suggest that you go to God first, before man. Humble yourself and pray earnestly to God that He will reveal His truth to you, then read His Word. That's how He speaks to us. If you are sincere and fervent in your prayers God will not fail you. "And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart." Jer. 29:13, Matt.7:8. God is wanting a RELATIONSHIP with us and that is only possible through trusting fully in the shed blood of His Son Jesus. The Holy Spirit is our Counsellor - He will lead you into all truth and He will send the right teachers to you if you trust Him. It is our heart that God is after - not our mind. One day completely out of the blue decided to walk into the catholic chapel at my university. No one invited me or said I should go in just this thought I had. My family is protestant so its like a a "woa what the heck are you doing" I went in Just to see what it's like, I have been away from the church for a while and before stuff gets too far along have to start getting that area in my life in order (For background currently I'm a freshman studying Electrical Engineering). The people there were extremely nice and friendly, helped explain what goes on in the mass which was super helpful. I also got to meet the priest and ask my questions to him which was super helpful. The first mass I went to wasn't a Sunday mass but a standard daily mass, I swear for the first time I felt at home. I have been to many protestant churches before, and none really resonated with me. Even the church my parents ended up joining (an AME church 2 hour services, hour sermons all that stuff) that never exactly felt right to me. I mean the people there are friendly and everything but I never could get into it. I remember a period when I was just angry at Christianity and even called myself an atheist (and yeah lines up with edgy teenager stage) But I realize now it was more of I had burning questions I could never get answers to in the protestant churches and thought the solution was to lie to myself like that, "It's not real therefore I don't have to think about it" I can't say I ever lost belief but more of tried suppressing it which ultimately never worked But what I found in the catholic church, from talking to priests and just diving in head first into learning about it. I finally found answers to some of my strongest questions, while they lead to more questions for every question there is always a solid answer to be found. So after that I needed more and started attending mass whenever I could, schedule allowing. And the first Sunday mass I attended in a new round of questions for the priest I just asked "so how would one become Catholic?" He told me about RCIA and was really happy I wanted to start it. So I started RCIA, though I started late made a ton of sense to me. To catch myself up I read the entire YouCat in about a week, I still remember the first night sitting in the sanctuary thinking I'd only read a few pages realizing I just finished a 100 page section and it was 2AM (I started at around 11pm) roughly a week later I have the entire thing finished and it all just makes sense to me. And just a sense of wanting more, and really grown to love it. Will say defiantly hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows, telling my mother I needed to go to mass on Sunday rather than go with the rest of the family to the church wasn't an easy conversation (Like she would hardly talk to me, let alone look at me afterwards). But best to have it over with rather than being in a place I never felt connected to. So that's my (abridged) story so far. I will say honestly at this point don't know what lies ahead, but I am excited to see what will happen and where my path leads. Before this whole thing though I doubt I would have ended up anywhere good, just drifting going through the motions wasn't working at all.

I have heard of this talk for quite some time, but the first time I have sat and listened. Converts take different paths to the Catholic church. For me, it wasn't a matter of proving the theology to myself through exhaustive research, it was simply going where the Holy Spirit led. Then I prayed, Lord, if this is your church and this is where you want me to be, then I will submit to her teachings and her authority. As much as I admire the time and energy many converts put into researching, I hear many stories where these folks tie themselves in knots over it. More important than the theology is the real presence. And the Catholic church HAS the real presence.

So sorry to hear. I am very disappointed. How can someone be so blind (with all my respect)? Unfortunately Scott was never saved. He certainly did not have a deep relationship with Christ. You can't be saved and in so much bondage to traditions and rituals and false teaching. Purgatory is not biblical. We honour Mary but we don't put her above Christ. Mary needed a saviour. We receive Jesus by faith not by the Eucharist and most importantly the word of God is our guide, not the church teaching. Otherwise, how do you put a limit? How do you know which teaching is from God, look at the catechism and laws of the catholic Church! Look at the life of many popes. How do you know which one was from God to follow his teaching. Surely many were wicked and killed true believers. So sorry I have heard this message. May God open your hearts that you have a true encounter with the Lord and instead of praying the rosary, you pray by the Holly spirit to the only one who is worthy of our prayers. And instead of becoming a catholic and convert people to the catholic domination, you ought to teach them to repent and worship Christ. It is a shame that Scott teaches that Mary is the arc of the Covent! Complete spiritual blindness!

I honestly never thought so many Protestants were waking up to truth like this. It really gives me hope! This church is amazing, and when people truly get educated on what it teaches legit, they experience conversion. Before I came back to the church, I was a cradle Catholic, and I thought I knew everything about this faith. Well, I didn’t. I knew nothing about this faith. It wasn’t until I started reading the catechism that I finally came to understand what this church stands for.

that is not true and over simplifies the question. Do you think this video on which you have commented and posted has proved the case for Catholicism? If you do, well it hasnt. I'll ive heard is a speech and a pro catholic sermon and quick citations of scriptures that are vague and open to wide interpretations. In the end this video has demonstrated nothing and all the questions still remain. If evidence for Catholicism were black and white i would have abandoned my protestantism long time ago. I would say that Protestantism is just as dependable as Catholicism and if you don't believe that you are either ignorant of the subject or are biased toward your own tradition but i cant blame you, why? because that is what we all do. Everything is debatable. What is black and white? is there anyone out there debating whether water can freeze? Not one. That is black and white, catholocism or protestantism the debate will NEVER end for the reasons always stated so dont comfort yourself that youre right with the simple statement :It's always the best and smartest of the Protestants who become Catholic. And the most ignorant Catholics are the ones to leave the Church.

Is ji packer and rc sproul stupid? i'm not saying catholocism is wrong and protestism right, i'm saying we all have the belief based upon our best understanding that we THINK we are right. trying to figure this out is like trying to figure out what caesar ate for lunch on the last day he lived. if you think the answer is black and white you grant too much.

The question is which truth unites and which truth divides. Former Protestant Baptists and Presbyterians can for the first time worship together under one roof, and be united by recognizing the authority of the church over scripture. Conversely, former Catholics who choose to become Baptists and Presbyterians can no longer worship together under one roof if they want to remain honest to their choice of churches based on their divergent interpretations of scripture.

My grandmother. My Mother’s Mum. Brought us up and made us go to church until we went through confirmation. So after my parents moved away from the the little Norfolk village where we had grown up. My Mum did not go to church. My Dad I can only remember going to midnight mass Christmas Eve once or maybe twice. A few years later I married a young American man in the U.S. Air Force. Oh dear what a shock when I arrived in America. His parents reminded me of the Puritanism who came to the New World in the 1620. I came to Northeastern Pa. They were so narrow minded. A few yrs later I became a Catholic. But unfortunately did not know my Early Church history or the Bible that well. Went through a divorce. Many yrs later I did get my annulment.i did fall away for about 19 yrs. I became a crazy J.W. Low point in my life. Did me so much family damage. Long story. Started watching E.W.T.N. The Journey Home. Last step 2014 the day after The Assumption of Our Blessed Lady. Went to my youngest Godchild’s daughter. Next Day went back to Mass. I went through R.C.I.A. As I did not go through it all those yrs ago. Blessed to be back in the Church.

I was born and raised a catholic but I learn a lot from dr. Hanh. I thank God that conversion to Catholicism is very much an intellectual process and falling out of Catholicism is often lack of fundamental ignorance of the Church (at least the people I personally knew). I always say that Faith is belief seeking understanding. I never realized how true that is.

To those who are not Catholic and are bashing those who have converted, have you actually read from the Church what it is we believe or are you listening to 2nd and 3rd hand information? @Asaph Vapor Let's take a closer look, The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.” Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked. “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” (Acts of the Apostles Chapter 8) It was the Catholic Church that identified 27 books, among many, and added it to the New Testament. So, every time you read the NT, you are implicitly acknowledging the authority of the Catholic Church. Martin Luther, at one time, attempted to delete four books from the NT, he did not succeed.

Scott Hahn is a true man of God. He could have easily lied his way through being a Protestant Dean making a ton of money and doing what he loves best, preaching and teaching the faith. Staying put in Protestanism would have kept his finances, family and friends in tact. But his conviction for the Truth of what Jesus Christ taught, led him to Rome, the church Jesus built. Scott Hahn is an amazing brave individual human being, with high integrity. A true disciple of Christ. Glad to have him on our side, the side of Truth. Read his book Rome Sweet Home, highly recommend to all cradle Catholics,

I’m in the process of converting to Catholicism from Baptist. I guess you could say Baptist, I’ve been away from it for a while. What got my attention initially was the peacefulness of the sanctuary. I attended mass for the first time with my brother, who is also converting. During mass I felt a stirring and thirst for the word I thought long dead. Afterward I jumped into research headfirst. The history of The Catholic Church and my gut feeling were undeniable. Yesterday during mass I was praying to the Lord for a sign that I was in the right place. I went to the altar rail for a blessing during communion (arms crossed of course), and the Holy Spirit was present. I returned to my seat to kneel and thanked The Lord for answering my prayers, tears streaming down my face. I have never had such a thirst for the word of God. The Father of my parish has corresponded with me through email and patiently answered any and every question I have had. Today I decided to attend OCIA/RCIA and convert via a Church that is part of the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter.

I'm starting to think that God allowed the Protestants to leave the church to give Catholicism not only competition but an influx of converts that are the best of teachers of truth. It really shows that Romans 5:3 to 5 isn't just for us alone, but also for the Church. The church gains perseverance through suffering, which builds its character, gives it hope and pours out the Holy Spirit to us.

I had the great opportunity of reading his book about his and his wife's conversion. I didn't know the tape he mentions in the book is here! Even though I've been catholic since I was a child, Scott Hahn's conversion book has helped me love God so much. I serve in my church as a preacher, and last week I had the chance of talking about the Eucharist, taking the Old and New Testament. I used Scott's way to understand and explain God's love in the Bible: The Covenant. It made me better understand what God wants from us, and the people I preached to were amazed to get to know the way God shows his love for mankind. Thanks be to God that he took Scott Hahn as an instrument of his own to make many protestants and catholics live their faith more deeply.

Over the years, I found that former Protestants make the very best Catholics. I've always been interested in history and decided to explore the roots of various religions. I am a cradle Catholic, with a solid foundation childhoood and beyond, to know the difference. And I had absolutely no desire to leave the Catholic faith. Eliminating alll the evengelicals and other charlatans, who rake thousands from large asssemblies with a lectern, set on a stage in some mega church, I went to the basics, starting with Baptists and worked from there to the Protestant Reformation, always encountering people who had started a new religion, to suit themselves and their folllowrs, with a slight deviation of some Bible quotation. When I got to Luther, I had a good idea as to WHY he had left Roman Catholicism; but it brought about the fact that most who had left the Church, used to been monks. Yes, I have encountered Protestant clerics, who claimed that I am going straight to Hell, because I'm a non-believer. And I'll live with it, In the meantime, at 88, I'm a Third Degree Knoght of Columbus (recently joined) and hope to eventually attain the Fouth Degree, recite the Rosary as often as I can, attend Mass as often as I can and serve as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist in our parish. So, I'll take my chances, being a practicing Catholic, and want to thank (and congratulate) the gentleman; who, along with many other former Protestant Ministers, had the courage to give it all up (including an assured income), and joined a Catholic parish, It takes courage and conviction; RCIA is a gruelling trial. My bugaboo is not with Protestants; many who live their faith; but those from families of a mega church minister, who "found the faith"; following the old man's departure from this world. In so many words, they "joined the business" All that it requires is to memorize a few verses, find a lectern and rent a hall. If they're interesting (one Baptist church I know now features a band during its Sunday service); the people will follow. Meanwhile, in a Catholic church, the altar is the centre of attention; everything else is secondary to the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, and Catholics go to a church to pray. All through the world;, and all in the very same way; now in each parishioner's own language; The key to the Catholic Church is "structure" Faithful KNOW where they stand; the Word of God is not wish-washy, interpreted by some pastor, to suit his (or her) congregation, and pass the collection plate, at the end of the sermon.

Why do we allow our egos and satan to dominate our thought processes. This world is so sad and Father Son and Holy Spirit must shake His head at times, at how stupid we all can be and have been. There is a real need for evangilisation and a meta noia by all human kind; so that the world is as Jesus said: love one another as I have loved you. I grew up a Presbyterian but never got baptized. I moved away from God in my early teens because of the sola scriptura doctrine. As a child I thought, "This book is the authority? It was just written by some guys in the desert, how do I know it is based in truth? It's a BOOK." Yes, that is pretty blasphemous as the scripture has been handed down as part of sacred tradition, but that is what a 8 or 9 year old me thought and continued to think until I separated myself from faith completely a few years later. I didn't know any other spiritual life. I became atheist, then pagan because I valued the loose traditionalism of it, then atheist again because paganism was not meeting my spiritual needs. Needless to say, I'm enrolled in OCIA classes this Fall. 😄 Thank you, God, for leading me to the truth and peace that can be found in the Catholic church!

@sterry1962

ralph crowe Actually that's just kinda part true. It comes from two Greek words, "kata" and "holos", meaning, "of the whole". It can be used (depending on the context) to mean "universal". But, if we study the writings of the early Christians, it is clear that they meant the term to refer to the visible, hierarchical, one Church that Christ founded. They used the term to refer to the "whole" Church, headed by Rome, as opposed to referring to a local Church which they would call by its' local name; i.e. the Corinthian church, or the Philadelphian church, or the Jerusalem church.

@Asaph VaporLuke 22:31. And the Lord said: Simon, Simon, behold Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat. {22:32} But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and thou, being once converted, confirm thy brethren. The purpose of a physical church and leadership is to strengthen each other and keep each other in line. I wish you would be non judgemental. Even your protestent church at community level it has a head. Could be a pastor or a Bishop or whatever you may call them. There is always a leader within a Christian grouping no matter where you form your church for the purpose of order in church. Read the epistles of Paul, he speaks of leadership in the church of God by man. He also gives instructions on who should be presbyter or pastor. This too is evidence why he had to go to Jerusalem and seek guidance on circumcision. All this confirm that the church has always been one with branches which are in communion and follow guidance from one source

I love the way the Catholic Church honor Mary. Our Blessed Lady. Never had a problem with that. My daughter says it because I love the Queen in U.K. So funny. Also I always say Our Lord Jesus and Our Lady Mary. Been to Our Lady of Walsingsham Shrine in England four times. Wonderful blessed experiences.. also in the U.K. We have those ancient titles of Lords and Ladies.

@Asaph Vapor Read your Bible. Don't compare person that can't be compared. Have some respect for the Mother of God. Thank you! Peace and Love of Jesus-Christ be with you! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Learn something new below. Mary as the Queen of Heaven In the Jewish culture, a Davidic King would have his mother as Queen rather than his wife, because he rarely had one wife, but many wives. Sharing power with many wives would be much too difficult, but he had only one mother and she was given the title of Queen. Almost every time a new king is introduced in 1 and 2 Kings, the king’s mother is mentioned. She was a member of the royal court, wore a crown, sat on a throne, and shared in the king’s reign (2 Kings 24:12, 15; Jer. 13:18-20). She acted as counselor to her son (Prov. 31), an advocate of the people, and as an intercessor for the citizens of the kingdom (1 Kings 2:17-20). Since Jesus is a King based on the order of David, it makes sense that His mother would be called Queen. Psalm 45 depicts Christ as King and at his side is a Queen. PSALM 45:9 At Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir So who is this Queen? Scripture puts forth Mary as our Queen in a grandiose description found in Revelation. In a vision of heaven, we are shown that the Ark of the Covenant is present in the temple. REVELATION 11:19 Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail. The mention of the Ark is odd, since it had been done away with when the Glory of God had left that Ark, but the Orthodox teaching is that Mary is a type of the new Ark. This is further expressed by the verses that follow showing a sign of a woman in heaven. REVELATION 12:1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. And then to specifically designate who this woman is, REVELATION 12:5 She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne. The male child described is Jesus, which implies that the woman is Mary. Some will argue that the woman is not Mary, but Israel, as some of the verses do not appear to reference Mary. And they would be correct. There are many prophecies that have multiple meanings or multiple references. A good example is a prophecy many Christians are familiar with. ISAIAH 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. We all are familiar with this verse and know it refers to the virgin birth. But when you read more of the prophecy it gets a bit more complicated. ISAIAH 7:14-18 Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. For before the Child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that you dread will be forsaken by both her kings. The Lord will bring the king of Assyria upon you and your people and your father’s house-days that have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah.” It would be a strange theology to teach that there was a time when Jesus didn’t know how to refuse the evil and choose the good. This prophecy was also partially fulfilled in the time before Christ’s birth when a child named Immanuel was born as a sign that God was still with Israel.(Isaiah 8:8) Given the way this very popular prophecy was used to speak of Christ in the New Testament as well as Immanuel in the Old Testament, it is reasonable that the prophecy in Revelation could be used the same way. It can describe both Israel and Mary. The prophecy describes Mary in very grand terms pointing to her royal status. She wears a royal crown pointing to the 12 tribes or to the 12 apostles symbolizing her queenship in the new kingdom. The moon under her feet represents her dominion and victory over her enemies. Then finally clothed with the sun. This is an important woman! This is the Queen of Heaven! QUOTES FROM THE EARLY CHRISTIANS "Majestic and Heavenly Maid, Lady, Queen, protect and keep me under your wing lest Satan the sower of destruction glory over me, lest my wicked foe be victorious against me." St. Ephrem the Syrian (4th Century) "the Queen of mortal man, the most holy Mother of God." Patriarch St. Modestus of Jerusalem (7th Century) In a sermon about the death of Mary, "Today He transports from her earthly dwelling, as Queen of the human race, His ever-Virgin Mother, from whose womb He, the living God, took on human form." Archbishop St. Andrew of Crete (8th Century)

@Asaph Vapor Thank you! There's a difference between reading and reading and understanding the book Bible. You insulted me for saying Mary , Our Blessed Mother, is the queen of heaven described in Revelation. Yet, you stated that the queen of heaven that they're talking about in Revelation is "astarte", now please show where in the Bible it says so. Peace and Love of Jesus-Christ be with you. Amen! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. Point out one thing in what I copy and pasted that's contradictory to the Bible or isn't in the Bible.

@Asaph Vapor I am amazed by how you look at the scripture, you're children of Mary even though you are denying her her rightfull place in your life. If Mary has others children, why will John needs to take her into his home when Jesus-Christ died. Lastly, since you are the expert on the Bible you should know know that not all prophecies follow chronogical order. The children being talked about is you and me and everyone who believe in Jesus-Christ. Anyway what do I know? After all you're the expert. Peace and Love of Jesus-Christ be with you. Amen! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

@Asaph Vapor How am I contradicting myself. Read what I wrote. All those who believe Jesus-Christ by adoption are children of Mary. That's what our Lord Jesus-Christ did on the Cross by giving Mary to John as Mother and John as son to Mary. Peace and Love of Jesus-Christ be with you. Amen!

I really admire his curiosity and open-mindedness and of course his brilliant mind and also his dedication to the people he loves. Imagine he painstakingly make research for the the woman he fancied. Sounds funny. God really is so humorous in making a way for good people who were lost track back to the right path home. I like also his past talks like how he makes analogy about the Catholic in connection with other religions as the Sun in the Solar system.

The main point I would like to state here is that Mr Hawn is an example of what a person should be and do with this short life we have...a searcher. What I mean is one who when that question of questions dawns on someone, why was I born? Too many people today can disract themselves and look around and feel strength in numbers..I observe others at school, work, on TV, and through Facebook, Twitter etc. as myself; I'm a good person, I love my neighbor, love God, read the Bible, my faith is firm; in conclusion I comfortable in this world, I can tolerate this status quo, though I see and hear trouble all around. American dream: a good paying profession, with a wife, a boy, a girl: picnics, sports, the sprinkler on my green manicured lawn, a hammock, a yawn, the sun is out, an inner smile, neighbors and friends...list never ends! There is picket fences, my best intentions, political views and whatever church I choose are all good in the sight of my peers...I am or will be exactly as the folks said if I put my mind to it, I can be whatever I want to be. WHO AM I?!? will invariably knock the beer over as your swinging on the hammock. Mr. Hawn is a searcher: no matter your present creed or belief there is a truth to pursue, before or after you have done everything you can do. Pilate asked Jesus before he had him scourged then crucified, "what is truth?" It is curious He did not answer...and His silence reaches us now and its louder than 2000 years of religeous disputes and the screams of the many martyrs who died for that Truth. Yes life is grand but the Promised Land is our greater goal, we too are but exiles and pilgrims and if we are not looking every moment for the narrow path that leads there than we live in vain. I promise you its insain to think once saved always saved..we must work out our salvation with holy fear and trembling. It is truly right and just to return love for Jesus's love; hoe can we do so, when God himself became a humble servant and died so that we may live. O the tragic loving poetry of His loving Sacrificial Passion! What can we do? Ask, Seek, Knock! There is a fullness of truth. There is! Keep Asking and Seeking and Knocking and God will shepard you home....the Catholic Church.

Adam Vernon , Please read my conversion from protestants to Catholic from yesterday. Then you will understand why I don't believe every doctrine in the Catholic Church! Yes, I believe in the Eucarist and attend Mass every Sunday. But I still hold my Baptist believes about Forgiveness of sins and going to Heaven by my belief in Jesus to forgive my sins.My sins are forgiven! And I am bound for Heaven! ! !

Silvia, this is the audio for a talk that Mr. Hahn gave at a parish in California. Patrick Madrid (Relevant Radio host and apologist) was at that parish in 1989, and was the one who arranged for the talk by Mr. Hahn. This is what started it all for Scott Hahn, in terms of him publicly sharing his conversion story.

Reading the gospel of John from beginning to end as well as volume 1 of the Faith of the Early Fathers convinced me that the Catholic church was the one true Church for Christians. I also watched a lot of videos and read books from Scott Hahn which further solidified my confidence in the Catholic Church. It's also important to recognize that one of the 12 apostles that lived with Jesus and witnessed all of his good works, teachings, and miracles betrayed him. That the leader of the 12 apostles Peter denied he was a follower of Christ 3 times before the rooster crowed, but later was martyred for his faith while in charge of the Catholic church in Rome. That another of the 12 apostles didn't have the faith to believe Jesus had resurrected until he could see the wounds from the crucification. There will always be sinners within the Catholic Church because of human nature and free will. Just like there will always be sinners within the Protestant churches which have numerous heinous crimes and sins like supporting abortion, contraceptives, divorce and remarrying, co-habitation before marriage and LGBTQ immoral lifestyles and marriage. Once I realized that no lay Christians personally owned a bible until well after the printing press was invented in the middle of the 15th century, and that the Catholic Church determined which books would be canonized and included in the New Testament.....I realized that Sola Scriptura was utter nonsense and Protestants had been duped.
