I am a Bangladeshi. Currently I am living abroad. There is no mobile network, internet connection, and Wi-Wi-Fi in our country. Since last three days I have no contact with my family in back home. The govt is killing the innocent students and the ordinary people who are helping students. Almost 300+ students were killed by Bangladesh government. Many students are Under 18. They are school children. The government is doing genocide now. We want the resignation of current prime minister Shekh Hasina. She is the most wanted criminal. I urge the United Nations and Human right organizations to help our students and save their lives and ensure the human rights in Bangladesh.

What started as peaceful student protests for more jobs, escalated as government-sponsored armed cadres, police and paramilitary unleashed lethal force on protesters, some as young as 13. Videos posted on social media, especially one where police gunned down a student called Abu Sayed who clearly had no weapons and had his hands in the air, sparked widespread anger and civil disobedience almost to the level of civil war.The government amped it up further by deploying the army and imposing a total media blackout. Finally, after 400 plus killed and thousands injured, the government has allowed the courts to put out an emergency declaration that the demands of job reform have been temporarily accepted but will be subject to future government directives. The majority of people feel this is too little, too late and nothing but a government ploy to diffuse the situation. They feel the massive number of dead and wounded has shredded whatever legitimacy the government may have had. They are now demanding that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina step down immediately and new and fair elections be scheduled once the healing of a traumatized nation has begun.

You should also highlight the "corruption" factor in your next research. Freedom fighter quota is just a loop hole for the government party to put their people in all the vital positions of the country. As a result the people of the ruling party awami league broke all the barriers of corruption. Even the prime minister herself confessed that her former driver stole 440million BDT and doesn't move without a helicopter. Can you imagine how shameful it is? That's the reason the general mass wants to remove this quota system to stop this loop hole and continuous corruption.

Any time you enforce loyalty quotas, you are on the wrong side. If you are trying to enhance your control over the people in this way, you better make sure the people are too afraid to step up. That can happen a couple of ways, such as they are too comfortable to ruin to their lives with a demonstration. But if you're people already have nothing to lose, then you are a sitting duck. Why should the people allow you to impose loyalty a quota that makes the rest of the people as second class citizens. So your loyal people will look down on the rest of the populace and make their lives difficult? I see why these protesters act this way though their acts are wrong and they should be held accountable and liable. They are not even old enough to have fought in a war and their age makes them ineligible to gain the elite status of loyalists. In America, we have these: - Heritage Foundation (Right) - Center for American Progress (Left) Both have nothing but the strictest loyalty on their agenda, an Achilles heal for both parties.
