I do not believe you understand what his actions are saying and doing. 1. The losses of the very rich he is attempting to save and rescue through this reform which is a false word for what it is he does on the backs of the working classes by extending the retirement age. 2. That a police response to an economic problem of the rich not wanting to pay out pensions demonstrates the government is broken and it will collapse. What is the point of a parliament if you are going to rule by force? 3. The super rich and Macron will be guillotined or leave the country as society is on the brink of a revolution. 4. This is a highly organized national strike not at all a spontaneous rebellion or protest of a small section of workers the American News shoves down our throats as a false narrative. 5. This revolution spreads the world over speeding up the end of western capitalism which has already collapsed in Europe and is pending in the US.

This is different, these people are used to not working after sixty and enjoying life at state expense. But there are not enough people paying into the social security system because working numbers are less. This is unsustainable, that is what MACRON is saying? There's a visible slant in favor of Macron in this video. They're showing violence and talking about Macron struggling as if the people are 100% at fault and completely violent. An overwhelming majority of the protestors are reasonable and peaceful, and there has been more violence and aggression from the police than from the protestors. The government is refusing to listen to alternate solutions and propositions about this, and Macron's stubbornness on this issue is inexcusable.

@Enowise
@Enowise Жыл бұрын
@@nickplays2022 It is. But never has it been done like this. Macron used every possible law from the constitution to hasten a vote in Parliement without discussion. And then, few minutes before the vote, he counted that he would not have enough vote in parliement. So he went around and used 49.3 which allows the prime minister to force through with a law proposition. The only thing that can be done is a vote of confidence which unfortunately was lost by 9 votes (out of 577). The problem here is that 49.3 was used to dodge a vote that would have been lost. A vote that they did everything they could to have very quickly. And despite everyone being against this law, they used those brutal laws. And the most incredible thing is, few days before 49.3 was used, the goverment said that they would not use it. Previous presidents knew when to back off. Macron doesn't and at this point it feels more like an ego problem from Macron who calls workers "People who are nothing". So yeah it is legal but way out of the mindset that goes with our constitution. And that what this crisis is about.

@@nickplays2022 There is other ways to get the money, the reform this government passes always hit the same people, the low income with difficult jobs and people with careers with wholes. You only get full retirement if you work a full 43 years, a lot of people already do not retire at 62 or 64 to get full pensions, unless you start early, before 19, which is usually unqualified labor (no college education) and work fulltime without interruption then you can retire at 62. Meanwhile, in the United States, we are currently at the retirement age of 67 and it's going to climb according to some financial advisors that are now encouraging Americans to try to work until 70 years of age due to the coming economic crisis. I am 46, and by the time I get to age 67, it will no longer be retirement age. It will be 82. We just let it happen, too. It's good for France to fight it. Americans are screwed if they aren't already retired. I fully see myself having to work until I literally drop dead while on the job. Talk about a lovely future to look forward to. @@juju-xx5xn Do companies even hire you at that age if you've lost your job? My father was told by the employment office three years before he retired that he would no longer be able to find a job and that he didn't have to write any applications. He was paid by the employment office for three years, because it is almost hopeless to find a job in our country after 60. Even from 50 it is already difficult to find a new job. What is it like in the USA?

It's currently 66. Anyone who is stupid enough to think they can exist on a State Pension is deluded. A good company pension and or private pension is essential if you want to retire much earlier and enjoy a decent standard of living. I retired at 50 because I had planned to do so.

Maybe they should lower the retirement age and just tax the people more. They seem to love their taxes over there.

It is no coincidence that the attention is mainly focused on them each time, but that they are never arrested or punished.

Back in April 1969, Frances President Charles De Gaulle set his position at stake by initiating a referundum about a reform he had. He lost (52 pct voted no, with a participation of 80 pct of the voters). He accepted the citizens choice, and resigned. Macron have neither the will, the wits, or the balls to do so. He's not serving the french population, for this reform is really aimed to balance the economy, as other reforms he made have favoured already very welathy individuals, investors and businesses, but injured the states budget( removal of the ISF(tax on high fortunes), for exempel). It is also said that, by the mere fact of paying women the 22 pct salary difference there is between men and women in France in average, you would create enough revenues to compensate the gap. Macronhas also sold some of the major internationally renowed industries to foreign groups (Alstom), thus creating more deficit and social struggle. He is an outrageous "politician" with no morality, a cynical lying business man.

If the French government cannot afford to pay the pensions as agreed change the law so the French people have to wait another two years to get their pension what is the point of France being in Europe and what is the point having a single currency the people of France are worse off now than they was before I think the people in France should go back to the French Frank you can't be any worse off and you are now at the moment France is in financial difficulties or it would pay the pensions two years before
