Here it is, the cyberpunk themed level I've been working on over a course of 3 or so months. According to Colon's save explorer, I've spent a total of 50 hours working on this, paying a lot of extensive attention to detail. Apart from the creator's block I had in March, I had some of the best flow states I've ever had working on this. My aim for this level was to make something cyberpunk-esque, but depict a darker and grittier version of the future, as I think this is the best way to represent the genre. For the decoration I was mainly inspired by one of my favorite anime series Serial Experiments Lain and the manga Akira and I tried my best to replicate the mood both of those bring. I highly recommend the Akira manga to anyone and SEL to anyone who likes... well... experimental stuff. I also tried bring some of the ideas both these series bring to life, namely the melding of the real world and technology, which makes up the last part/endscreen and portraying disaster, which happens in the third part of the level. Chances are I'll make a video about the whole building process because I have way more to say about this level. Hope you all enjoy.

holy shit this started off a little week (mainly the structuring) but then just went way above any expectations. Love the design on this level. I do like where this is going, the TVs that were thrown out feeling like a horror prison movie, the destructive city that feels like the Danganronpa Anime to me, and the glitching Windows XP nostalgia at the end. As of right now, this is still not rated which in my opinion, should get at least a feature worthy. 👍

That was subconscious actually. Back then I was still developing my style, that was until I started making how to build likes, and it's almost like nowadays I'm returning back to that old style. Surprised you still remember malevolence.

This level is really cool, the only problem I really see with this level is that it feels kinda rushed. As you said in your description you made the level over a course of 3 or so months. It doesn't look as polished as it really could've been. The main example of this being the city part. Even though the ground on the top and the bottom looks really nice. The city background really isn't it for me as the glow you used doesn't really give the skyline any justice, maybe just adding blocks instead that are maybe a yellow-whiteish color with low opacity glow outside of the windows would've been a nicer touch. I really like the atmosphere of the level but it could have more coherency in my opinion. That's all I really have to say. (do not ask me for examples as I cannot deco for my life I just have very strong opinions that I can't back up personally) I look forward to seeing your future levels and I hope you become larger in the creating community.
