The kanghaskhan thing is probably legit. In x and y you could find zangoose in seviper hoards and suddowoodo in trevanant hoards. Both of which have connections. Zangoose hunt seviper and sudowoodo is pretending to be a tree like he does. The pokedex says cubone cries for its own mother. And as it cries for help kangaskhan appears. I think it's a little too suspicious to be a coincidence

It's not a reference but at the ghost trail once you get out of the store you get a final look at the store at the end. But if you look carefully you can spot a mimikyu at the side of the store walking away

Malie Garden apparenlty has some sort of refernece but I cant figure it out, the strange souvenir from X and Y, elite 4 member from gen 5, anabel the frontier brain from emerald, a Jurassic Park reference, ash Geninja, Ash Pikachu, there's a machamp plotting land in the 1st city in reference to red, blue, green, and yellow virmillion city.
