I sound impossible to have a 0 knowledge infrastructure email provider... The email provider has to know your email to route the email, there is no way around it.

@@vincentlemoine3830 You are correct. In Proton Mail, even if your email is E2EE, they know the sender, recipient, and the subject. However, with Proton Pass e-Mail I believe they know more than with a regular Proton address, which is a risk to consider.

I don’t know if this is a concern, but when composing an email and typing in the body “attached” or “see attached” without an attachment added proton warns you “no attachment found”. I’m wondering how they ‘know’ that? Do they check emails you compose for keywords?

That would almost undoubtably be a client side script (i.e. javascript), which means that check is happening entirely locally on your device. Ofc I could be wrong and proton is doing something unusual... but I would doubt it unless someone could prove that.
