The right-hand side mirror is a major road safety issue. Either Proton fixes the issue or the Ministry of Transport and Consumer Council must be informed. Negligence for Proton to have such a mirror.

I almost got my hands on this car last year. Did my research on it for several months. Unfortunately, I got laid off due to the pandemic. Currently jobless but recent interviews shows a good sign that hopefully I get the job. If I do, I might consider getting this car but I would probably wait until maybe it gets a facelift. I also want to wait for our 3rd national car. See how it goes. Wish me luck guys 👌

Disappointment that Proton has stripped out quite a few of the expected features, both big and small in the X50 in return for the rear aircon. No paddle shifters, no ambient lightings, lower-grade cameras, plastic door handles, no rain sensor for the premium model and even down to the tiniest saving of taking away the elastic nettings in the booth. Shame on you, Proton! Proton should go find savings within the organisation itself instead of petty acts that lower product quality and damage customers' trust.

I just started working as fresh grads, but thankfully i got my placement near my house so im living with my parents at the moment. My commitment thus far is about 500 for asb and the bills. So i have seperate some for my parents and i still have 2k ++ left. Should i get x50 or is there any other option? My friend suggests to get just cheaper car since im still fresh grads so yeah. Why proton still have signals handle on the left????

You got to understand that this is still a Geely car and since people from China drive on the right side of the road, their cars' turn signal handles will be on the left side. So it's no surprise that when the car's steering wheel is being shifted to the right for the Malaysian market, the handle setups will be unchanged like most car exports like Ford and other European cars.

Very good review indeed kudos to you!This review is important for those who intend to buy X50 especially for me as i am looking to buy a SUV below 90k compared to Honda HRV.I love Honda HRV but i cant afford more than 100k Can you help me with this questions: 1.Is X50 executive suitable for lady drivers? I dont drive that slow *110km per hour on the highway) and i drive from KL to Puncak Alam and back everyday. 2.What is the fuel consumption like? Is it RM60 for a full tank? 3.Is it true that in the long run the maintainence will be very high $$$ because it is a Volvo technology? Thanks guys.

Hafriz and team, is it possible that you guys give a little more attention to the audio system? even in the full review, you didn't touch on the audio quality at all, or compare it to the HR-V etc.

To be honest, I can't really remember how the HR-V's sound system is like. I'd usually remember if it's particularly good or bad. The X50's is just decent. A little bit better than the X70 Premium I think, but not good or bad enough to be worth a mention I thought

@@hafrizshah4937 So you're saying that x50's setup is better than x70 with 8 speakers w/ subwoofer? man, that's interesting. Anyway, just an idea, maybe you guys can do a short video for best infotainment & audio system say below RM 50k/100k/200k/500k etc. I know we can upgrade the audio/infotainment in the aftermarket, but it'll be at the expense of voiding the warranty. Because that's one of the factor in choosing a car. To me at least. I'm suggesting this because, its rather hard to test the audio as you can't really appreciate it during test drive, nor you can listen to it during car display in a mall/showroom.

@@sherifaziz2002 we can, but the problem with that is, sound quality is extremely subjective. I might find a particular system to be brilliant, but it's not guaranteed that you will have the same opinion. And to be frank, most standard speaker systems just sound decent, nothing to rave about. Like say, I think the best sound system for cars under RM50k is the Saga Premium. But we have plenty of owners who think the speakers aren't good enough. It's all subjective, depends too much on your own personal preferences
