I have watched this series from the start and I know I have more to go - just want to say how fantastic I think this is - Audient console, is just amazing and well outside of my price range, I have a PreSonus Studio Live Series III 16 - but the production quality of the video, the musicianship, the technical know-how and the entire series is wonderful - thank you!

The Audient mixer is fantastic. I also saw the video where you checked out the SSL XL desk. I would agree the Audient offers more of full console features and if that is what you want to go with, its a great choice. I however like the character of the SSL VHD, EQ and compressors more than the Audient so for me, I would go with the XL Desk with 16 SSL EQ's. You can then add any other outboard effects through the sends. That SSL punch and urgency is not replicated by any other company.

This is what I'm debating myself. The Audient sounds and works incredibly. But there's always this deal that you get what you pay for. The APIs, the SSLs, the Neves... they always have something unique to offer, the unique character of those electronics, different sound space and everything. If I was willing to pay as much as for a house, I know I'd be getting THAT sound, though the XL Desk would offer it on the "cheap."
