I didn't even know about protopie! As a ux designer with front end chops I always felt figma interactions to be limiting for complex prototypes. Thanks for the info!

Really great breakdown 👍🏻 so much can be done in figma without needing a new tool but there are def cases where a tool like protopie is your best option. Thanks Jesse. Let’s connect again soon 👊🏻

I get the intention of this video and I think it's great that you created it to have the conversation around where to prototype, but it's not quite as clear cut as you communicate here. The point at which you consider how an experience reacts to interaction in my view should be considered long before you are designing high fidelity in Figma. That doesn't mean that Figma prototyping can't be used but equally, you can quite easily do a click-through in ProtoPie with the added benefit of building on top as you need to refine, often more quickly than in Figma. Often you're prototyping to ascertain whether a design makes sense from a logic perspective so while you can create a switch control to turn off and on you can't easily connect that to a piece of functionality. For me it's all about speed, what gets you to where you need faster. Happy to have a conversation about it Jesse, feel free to reach out :)

Great video and thanks for being so hands-on with the breakdown of these fab tools ✌ I've tried ProtoPie some time ago but the learning-curve seemed pretty steep last time - maybe they've improved that part. Next question - what would you use to show on-scroll trigger-effects for websites, like cards or text appear while scrolling to a certain position. I've considered learning Framer to step-up my prototyping-game.

Nice explanation! Thank you :) In Norway Figma in high demand. I did not find any request for Protopie yet :-)

Oh man the possibility of creative VR prototypes some more likely now especially with protopie. I do would like to know some of the tools like VRchat or Meta Horizon use when they prototyped their products.
