I've used those same light mounts for various things. The bolts corrode pretty quick, much worse if in salt water. The cheap stainless didn't play well with the aluminum.

I agree. Replacing the cheap fasteners is simple enough although one will still have to deal with dissimilar metal corrosion between the stainless and aluminum.
