This was the first ShackTac ArmA video I ever watched, and I've been hooked ever since. Thank you, Kilroy, for introducing me to an amazing new world.

Man, its videos like these that make me wish I had a computer that could play this game well; so I could apply to Shack Tac and play with you guys. The ending of that video was very heart wrenching and epic, and the conversation between Beagle and the last surviving soldier made it even more so. I love this style of gaming, just hope I can get around to building a new pc in the near future.

Really shows off how important the free look is in tactical FPS. More games should adopt it.

I'm a cavalry scout in the US Army, have been for almost 5 years. Despite the little quips and quirks of some of the players, and the necessary shortcutting to make a game fun, it's almost eerie how believable you guys play this game. I played OFP for yeras back when it was big, tried ArmA2 when it was released as well. Too buggy, wasn't my cup of tea. But DAMN, I've gotta get involved with you fellas. This looks absolutely addicting.

Hmmm, It makes alot of since that you wouldn't want every bullet to be a tracer since it gives away you're position as much as it helps you see where you're hitting. I like these videos because they're fun first and also It's educational. You can learn little things you otherwise wouldn't think of unless you were actually in the millitary or had relatives that wanted to talk about their time in the millitary. Alot of the commenters on here are very helpful and knowledgeable as well. Thanks

Awesome. War is terrible in real life, but when it's simulated in a video game where nothing is at stake, it becomes more of an entertaining chess match of sorts. Keep up the great work Kilroy.
@Perkelenaattori12 жыл бұрын
No worries mate. It's remarkable what you learn when you're in the army and as a machine gunner in a jaeger platoon. It's also great how not every bullet is a tracer bullet in ARMA2 when you shoot a weapon. At least when I was in the army we had half our bullets tracer and the other half just regular bullets.

"Broken Arrow" is used in dire situations. When a friendly position is surrounded and the area is being overrun and there is no other option Broken Arrow is used. It calls all aircraft in the area to do bombing and strafing runs even though there is a high chance of friendly fire or "blue on blue". Again, it is really only used as a last resort and will probably result in friendly fire casualties.

Actually in this case Broken Arrow meant that friendly units were close to being overrun and that the aircraft now had permission to engage enemy units with a high risk of friendly fire.
