You can’t kill someone just for pushing you or breaking into your home and get away with it. Pretty much every State stand your ground law literally states within reason and you will have to prove that reason in court if you kill them. People need to get it out of their mind that you can just kill anyone whenever you FEEL threatened, that isn’t a thing. There are a lot of people in prison for murdering someone because they got into a fight they started and the they killed pushed them and said back off, they thought that meant they were allowed to do a murder. Or a guy who was “protecting his property” from 2 teenagers who were there to steal when they thought he wasn’t home, shot them, not kill them, taunted them, then killed them while on the phone with 911. It baffles me that people literally think you can just murder someone over any little thing.

You don't need to be hit directly by pepper-spray in order to want to get some distance from its proximity, that stuff fills an entire room with particulate matter. The balcony they were standing beneath was enough to make that stuff spread-out like a cloud, so I'm not at all shocked that everyone's first instinct was to put some distance from it. The fact that the cops even let it get to that point is a travesty to begin with.

The cops also can see that the proud boys are getting out of dodge once they get tagged. Yeah I would back the hell up too when you let that shit fly lol. Pepper spray is hell fire. To make pepperspray 100% nonlethal, they would need to make it nontoxic and even keep food allergies and such into account. I mean can you imagine the drama if a cop sprays someone and they die, foaming at the mouth and covered in welts? I reckon you can eat it.
@terrychant43652 жыл бұрын
Gun/taser position depends on what handed the officer is. Gun goes by your dominant hand, so in life or death situation, you're faster and more practiced. Muscle memory. I wonder if this is a factor for that woman that shot instead of tased that guy. Like she knew she should tase, but panicked and instinctually drew the gun?

The cops reaction to exiting the pepper sprayed area is fair. Not justifying their unwillingness to de escalate the situation before it got to that point but as a prior service member who has been oc sprayed and worked with ordnance that was composed of it, that shit sucks. Legally speaking pepper spray is great, but as far as effectivity it's not. It hurts EVERYONE in like a 10 foot radius. Including you. And presumably you don't have a lot of room to retreat, because if you did you would be trying to make distance, not pepper spray. So now you're blind, and hoping the person attacking you is also blind and doesn't have tolerance, because if he is like state champion of hot pepper eating all you've done is blind yourself in addition to being overpowered. Not to mention blinded anyone who might want to get involved. Better than nothing, though. I've seen a lot of people get sprayed in altercations, and usually it's more embarrassing than it is effective. Almost like a public shaming.
