srsly why not sync it better? The in-game sound explanation Caedrel gave makes no sense at all. You could just pull up another video (other browser so youtube does not stop the other tab), mute it, then sync the audio roughly with the voices and only show the muted video, while playing voice comms in background. I could create a version with synced voicecomms like that in a few minutes + video download and upload time in Davinci Resolve (Free Video Cutting Software). Or am I stupid and missing sth obvious?

the in-game sound is synced to the gameplay we’re seeing, the voice comms are not. its because the gameplay has a roughly 5 second delay during the live performance for observers to position the cameras where they need to be but the player cameras and audio don’t need that. so either you get comms that are too early but gameplay with synced game audio or you get comms that are in sync with the gameplay but in-game audio that is roughly 5 seconds delayed

the gameplay we’re seeing here is exactly what the crowd saw at the time, which is why you can hear the crowd react in sync with the gameplay through the player comms

Ok, so we have the two choices you mentioned: 1. Voice comms in sync with picture and crowd being delayed or 2. crowd reacts according to video but voice comms are early (this version). I would prefer version 1 I think. I thought about just doing and uploading it, but the video would be taken down most likely, right? 😂

@ the crowd reaction isn’t the relevant part, the entirely out of sync game audio is. if you’re more interested in synced comms with random game sounds everywhere, that’s fair, but i would personally find that more annoying than just having comms be a few seconds ahead.

I'ma be honest. Rekkles need to speak up. I feel like he is the best player on the team (no shade) but people are so much louder than him that when he speaks they sometimes don't hear it or don't listen. He also plays the support so he 100% keeps track of them the most and is more aware of where they have vision. Now, I'm not a pro player (obviously) but the coms feel extremely chaotic ( don't mean lots of talking but different opinions on what to do) if you compare them to other things and even faster games. If you were to ask Rekkles about a big difference from T1 I am 100% confident in saying that he would say coms is one of the things. There are too many individual wants and needs in these coms and people have to back down a lot to do the thing someone else wants. Rekkles being one of those *a lot* in this game.

I think comms were actually better when Caedrel was playing support. Even though he is a worse player, he always articulated a plan so everyone could fall in line. I agree that rekkles should take that role if he can.

He said drafting was the big difference. That it's the biggest difference from T1 from western players. They are always drafting because your already expected to be the best mechanically at any champion you draft. The things they struggled at in worlds were always things they weren't 100% on, and they just have a different ethic when it comes to that.
