Hoping that this thread is still monitored - The Credit card website states this: "Make your first purchase of a $3,000 vehicle down payment and enjoy all of this". When I ordered my vehicle (waiting on shipping), my salesman said that I can only put $1k on the card for down payment. If I can put $3k (of cash I already have saved) on the card towards down payment, I receive $100 statement credit, 6 months interest-free, and all of the rewards points as well! Accurate?! :D

You don't have to have a Ford automobile but you would have to use a Ford dealer service center to use that part of the benefits as they usually service other companies vehicles too.

Dont forget the 11,000 ($55)points after your 1st purchase and the 100 after the 3000 in 3 months. Possible 355 the first year.

The auto insurance is highly overlooked here. We all pay for it, 3% isn’t bad and I pay more than $3k a year. Does anyone think I could pay Home insurance through this if it’s the same as auto? Wonder how they’d know the difference?

There is really no incentive to get this. $3000-$6000 to get very little in rewards is pretty poor. The older charge card (which they will probably get rid of soon) is a better one. The 0% interest for anything $299 and above plus rebates Trumps this card. The interest rate on older card is higher, but that doesn't matter much as most people pay off before they are charged interest.

Just make sure you don't pull this out until the very end of negotiations. If you lead off with "I've got your brand's credit card! I've been saving for 3 years to buy this car!" then the dealer has got you.

If you lease a Ford can you use this card to pay for said lease monthly? Because if that's the case this would be an outstanding product. You can hit that $6k in no time. Plus the insurance and gas feature this would almost be an absolute no Brainerd to get.

Not sustainable.. they are losing money with the 3.33% reward rate. Unless they are using this as a loss leader and plan on making their money on your Ford purchases. Since no annual fee, there really is no downside.

@@Sloba1992 I'm not a massive expert but it is for tolls and parking so I don't see why it would not apply to the semi because you are still buying parking and tolls. The money is back on service, any car. You could take your Toyota in for service.

Cool? We only use Ford trucks on our 1400 acre farm. So do other families around us. They are one of the only brands besides Dodge and Chevy that make real trucks capable of doing work that your cool hipster Prius could never can. Almost every car company has a card now😂
