How much to rent car from Nice to do same route you did? How many hours should be enough to drive to Saint Marie, see Verdon Gorge and get back to Nice car rental station? I am going on Oct 3rd for 5 days.

In October 2021 we paid about $45 a day and in June 2023 we paid $84 a day. October is cheaper since it’s low season. We rented with enterprise but we also like Europcar. I’d say to estimate about 2.5 hours each way. Google maps a says 2 hours but it can take longer with stops and since you’re not used to driving there. The route we did to Valensole first will be longer though and I would recommend taking two days if you want to go to Valensole too. In October there won’t be lavender though so not much to see in Valensole.
