I grew up as an eight year old when the Luby's massacre happened. Our whole class was stunned and most crying because one of the childrens parents were killed.. I love Bill Hicks; but I love comedy more. Many, many, many comedians compare quite favorably to Bill Hicks. Bill was great and unique but take his philosophy away and the comedy isn't really all that good. He spawned (partly) the Alt scene, has many disciples, but compared to his peers Dave Attell or Mitch Hedburg and he's not even as funny.
