Hi and thanks, Adventures Are Out There for sharing. Wow, I have been to GA many times but have never known this canyon. Beautiful with the landscape of the red sand. As you said, there is water on the trail...will it stain your shoes?? ...4:50 I wonder if we can see fall foliage in this canyon to explore??? Well done. Adding to my bucket list.🙋♀🙋♀🚣♀🚣♀

It is amazing what erosion can do, whether it is from poor farming practices or by rivers in nature. The loved all of the colors in the canyon and the floor of the canyon did look slippery. Great tip on wearing some sturdy shoes. I would love to see this State Park for myself, the next time I am in Georgia. Have a great week! ~ Anita
@AdventuresAreOutThere2 жыл бұрын
Its wasn't slippery at all, very sandy and little wet, super easy to walk in, of course they say check the weather before you go down the canyon, wouldn't want to be down there if a rainstorm came through. It's definitely worth the visit, we have been twice now in one year :)

I am going in a couple of days, really looking forward to checking it out. I actually just learned today that it is not a natural formation. I saw the Grand Canyon recently but I am still really looking forward to this one. I got a new camera a few months back and I am looking forward to the chance to take some really amazing photos. Even if it is going to be pretty cold. Good to know about the water at the bottom of the trails, definitely going to alter what shoes I pack based on that.
@AdventuresAreOutThere4 күн бұрын
@BryanLankston awesome, have fun, it's one of our favorite Georgia State parks. How was it formed then?
@BryanLankston4 күн бұрын
@@AdventuresAreOutThere you mentioned in your video at around 0:50 that this canyon was formed by poor farming practices. I also saw someone else say the same thing. I was referring to what you said about Providence Canyon not the Grand Canyon. I realized I didn’t make that clear in my initial post. But I really appreciated your video and the information. Especially about the water at the bottom of the trails.

Hi Melissa that was wonderful to see. This state park is amazing! And it's great how you can go to the canyon floor . That part you showed of Bryce Canyon did look similar. Strange how these canyons were formed by poor farming but like you said, it left us with great views! It was beautiful in those slot like canyons that had all of the different colours in, that was really great to see . The photos that you took were brilliant too . Also seeing the deer prints and the Methodist church was a bonus. You covered a lot here 😃👏So good , thanks ~ Anna
