I'm not even learning this yet and have no idea what this is and yet I watched this whole video? Your teaching is so entertaining, I see why people worldwide wish you were their maths teacher lol

1:47 Still waiting for full attention....... we are almost there...... *staring at some student, waiting for his acknowledgement.....* *student finally acknowledges* *eddie woo thumbs up to the student*. eddie woo: thank you. and the lesson continues... even "roasting" the students can be in style and educational and not provocative or humiliating or anything!

Eddie, are there many students from Year 7-9 partipating in mathematic competition in your school? What do you think is the most important thing for IMO? Have you ever supervised students who finally represented Australia for IMO?

This is a brilliant question. I want to know if Woo can do more math competition oriented videos, as they will boost our mathematical intuition.

Exactly. Eddie's strength isn't logic - all he needs is bivariate implication arrows all the way down. It's very frustrating, as this is where misconceptions are born and his platform is huge. His recent videos have been littered with errors...

This is a much better proof to show that ( 1 / 2 )*(a^2 + b^2 ) > or = [ ( a + b ) / 2 ]^2 AM - GM inequality gives : ( 1 / 2 )*( a^2 + b^2 ) > or = sqrt ( a^2 * b^2 ) ( 1 / 2 )* ( a^2 + b^2 ) > or = ab -- ( equation 1 ) (a^2 + b^2 ) > or = 2ab a^2 + 2ab + b^2 > or = 2ab + 2ab a^2 + 2ab + b^2 > or = 4ab ( a + b )^2 > or = 4ab ( 1 / 4 ) ( a + b )^2 > or = ab [ ( a + b ) / 2 ]^2 > or = ab -- ( equation 2 ) equation 1 - equation 2 : ( 1 / 2 )*( a^2 + b^2 ) - [ ( a + b ) / 2 ]^2 > or = 0 ( 1 / 2 )*( a^2 + b^2 ) > or = [ ( a + b ) / 2 ]^2
