Do they have to be tweeters for the upper dash corners, or can they be 3.5inch speakers. If it doesn’t matter, which one do you recommend?

Old video , but 1... why didnt you use fast rings on the doors ? 2 why didnt you put the tweeter in the door ? The dash is cool for a second tweeter or 3.5 components but by putting the only tweet for the frontbstage so far from the only mid for the front stage the imageing is going to be rough . Also they make an adapter that holds a 6.5 and tweet to 6x9 .

Since you installed the tweaters now I know where to look because mine is a 07 charger and the tweater has a grill mesh like deal where I can't pry it open so I never messed with them to change them out from factory to aftermarket tweaters instead

For the 2007 chargers you have to take the very front trim piece off as well as the a pillar trim piece I believe. Same tweeter size and location.

Idk if im actually going to find an answer here but ive recently purchased a 2005 dodge magnum xst without navigation and i want to change my door speakers but both doors are 6.5 speakers that are held in with 3 screws into a plastic bracket do i need to get a new mounting bracket to fit aftermarket speakers most of them i see 4 screws just curious if i need an aftermarket mounting bracket

they shoulda come with 6x9s so those are aftermarket or pulled off from another car.

@@LaGataNegra3073 thats possible but when i finally got the 6x9 to work it was only held in by 2 screws sad to update that i no longer have the car since the engine bent a piston rod

I haven't tried or looked but does a 2006 Magnum dash speaker cover pops off the same way or do have to remove the dash?

I decided to replace the dash speakers in my 2005 Magnum. After pulling out my dash, I discover that there are only placeholders for the speakers. However, there is a lead with a connecter. I bought some JBL 322Fs...can I just hook those up as is? Thanks.

Yes as long as your tweeters / dash speakers have a built in crossover. If so, you can hook directly up as that line is in parallel with the door speaker.

@@ProvoBeastAudio I put the first one in, sounds great. Went to put in the passenger side and discovered there was no lead. What a weird car. My car is basically the one in the diagram and I paid for 6 speaker stereo. Aint what I however. Thanks for putting these up! Also, is there a screw type that is common to mounting car speakers? Mopar said #6 and now I have a bagful of too small screws.

The passenger side has a different harness it doesn’t have a positive or negative it just has a bunch of different wires so how am I hook the tweeter up to the passenger side?

What if u don’t have any wires in the dash for speakers how u run them

You'd have to pull signal from somewhere, so either tap into them in the kick panel where the door speaker connects, or back behind the radio. Or simply just install coaxials in the door.
