Watch a full tutorial as a 2018 Mazda CX-3 will have a new 5 channel amplifier and subwoofer added to the factory audio sound system. This vehicle was not equipped with the factory Bose sound system.
This video applies to Mazda CX-3 models for years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. This video also includes complete amplifier wiring, installation, and testing.

NOTE: If you have the Bose sound system, we the technique for installing your amplifier will slightly be different as you will need to bypass the factory Bose amp if installing a 5 channel amplifier. Instead of using the Axxess T-harness, you will use the harness linked below which you will bypass and create a T-harness at the Bose amplifier, leaving the factory radio alone. It will be the same technique, just completed at the Bose amp located under the passenger front seat. If just simply installing a mono amp and sub, no bypass is needed, and you can access the Bose subwoofer for signal in the spare tire compartment.

So you used the 4 input channels of the lc7i input speakers to get signal. Now am assuming the lc7 summed it self from factory so you can use the sub rca outputs of the lc7. I ask because you didnt wire the inputs of the 3rd channel on the lc7.so it summed correct?

Great Video! My 2016 CX-3 has the 7 speaker Bose system installed but I am still not thrilled with the power/kick of the audio... what is the best way to enhance the overall "power" and/or add additional bass (the subwoofer is mid at best). Also, could you add Apple Play to this car/audio system?

thanks. I'm putting a JBL BassPro Nano under the passenger seat (wife's request for unobtrusive sub). I need to run the power wire across and I guess the best place to do that is behind the dash (under the carpet of course). I too will "rob" the front speakers for signal to the Nano. Curious if I should splice into the factory harness (output) for speaker signal or tap into each door speaker? IF I do the door speakers, I will have to mess with getting wire through the door jam. Tapping at the harness might be easier.

Hi! My 2015 Mazda 3 iGT sedan with BOSE system has a left audio sound issue. Hardly any sound on left speakers. Could it be the Amp causing this or some sort of short?

To activate summing in the LC7i, there is a jumper located under the cover which allow you to sum your desired channels. Once completed, if the unit's green LED illuminates, you know the summing feature is currently activated.

Do i need the t-harness if im using kicker KISLOC as line out converter?

It appears the kicker KISLOC is a 2 channel LOC. It kind of depends if you have the BOSE system or not, and if you are planning to upgrade door speakers. If you are planning to just add a mono amplifier and subwoofer, for non-Bose, you can splice into one of the door speaker's wires either near the glove box, or near the door itself. If you have the bose system, you can create your own pigtail harness and into the subwoofer wires in the trunk.

Yes, you can tap into the pre-amp signal near the glove box. You can add a T-harness like this and just run one set of speaker wire from the T harness back to the trunk for your LOC, or directly to amp if it has High Level input. You would not need to run speedwire to the trunk, and then back up to the front as you are just grabbing the subwoofer signal and not amping your door speakers like he is doing. If you're okay with splicing into factory wiring, you could also use something like Posi Taps near the glove box to cut the factory subwoofer signal before it goes to the bose amp, and then add a set of speaker wire running back to your trunk.

i have a mazda 6 2022 standard with no nav headunit, problem i am facing is to replace the thing. i tried several android headunits, issue is that call and voice buttons wont work with android headunit. this car has bluetooth module built in which is in glovebox area. i recon that these buttons directly contron the module. expecting a fix on the issue. thanks in advance

Great video, but the radio in our 2020 CX-3 is completely different than older models and there are no harnesses on the market that fit. It has a Panasonic DH1F 66 DRX, which has a 32 pin harness. All of the aftermarket harnesses are exactly like the one you used from AXXESS. I was going to try and make my own T harness, but there is nothing out on the internet that tells me which wire does what on the factory harness that plugs into the factory radio. Even though it utilizes a 32 pin harness, there are only 13 wires: 2 red, 3 black, 2 white , 2 brown, purple, green, mint green and sky blue. Any suggestions on where I can find out which wire is what? Thanks.

Ok, im still in the same boat with my 23 Tacoma, I saw your video on the Tacoma, Pac audio says don't use the amp pro, and the Toyota design change was in effect and they haven't tried nor can confirm that it works. can I use the LC7i after the amp and then use the JL VXI amps that I have?

The Pac T-harness works just fine for your 2023 tacoma. Pac just can't confirm it fits as they haven't "tested" it yet, although the body style hasn't changed. As long as you don't have JBL, it will work fine.

Yes. You would install the T harness near the glove box with one run of speed wire going back to your aftermarket amp on the input side. Then you have another run of speedwire from the output on the amp, back up to the other side of the T harness, which is carrying the "amped" signal to the factory wiring that runs to your door speakers. You would need to upgrade your door speakers as well, as they would not handle the power of an aftermarket amp.
