There's no getting around this fact. Yes, there were sexy women in Western cinema. Just like all other genres. Many actresses were well known for their looks, some could actually act, yes I know!
Not too hard on the eye, these women were love interests, some were also in leading more serious roles.

Claudia Cardinale is the hottest actress on that list. Here are some overlooks. 1: Michelle Carey Dirty Dingus McGee. Michelle prevents this from being one of the worst westerns of all time. 2: Brigette Bardot: Shalako. Needs no explanation: 3: Capucine: North to Alaska: See Above 4: Gail Russell: Angel and the Badman: Gail had some of the most beautiful eyes ever. Only Sophia Loren Jean Simmons and Loretta Young compare. 5: Jean Simmons: The Big Country. Speaking of Jean 6: Maureen Hingert: Fort Bowie. Not well known but was Miss Sri Lanka and third in the Miss World Pageant. 7: Salma Hayek From Dusk Til Dawn. Maybe the only one who is close to Claudia Cardinale. 8: Kim Novak: The Great Bank Robbery: See Kim doing Lady Godiva and you will know why. 9: Myrna Loy: The Great Divide: Myrna known for playing sophisticated women could play exotics and did early in her career. Was hot as a Mexican. Outdid Dorothy Mackaill and not even close. 10: Veronica Lake: Ramrod. Veronica on that short list of most beautiful women of all time. Certainly in the top 10. With several mentioned here and in the video ( along with Elke Sommer).

Sadly, many so called provocative women are mere eye candy, which was never appealing to me. But those who could really act, different story. I'd also add Angie Dickinson in Rio Bravo, and for a role requiring more acting talent, Marilyn Monroe in Bus Stop.
