Man, that last season was straight butt. They need to get back to the lab and cook here. Pretty much everything good about season 1 was dropped in favor of a traditional (albeit poorly written), Decepticons evil and always evil scenario. And the animation, while easier to produce, wasn't NEARLY as sharp as the first time around. I hope, at the very least, Prowl and Megatron remain interesting and we get to see our boy Breakdown done justice

​@blammers Um, you are aware in most Transformers lore the Decepticons are the product of a corrupt caste system? Optimus and the Autobots are the peaceful protestors while the Decpticons are the violent rebels. And yes, some Decepticons are awful bots and have always been so, most are products of millions of years of opression and war. One of the reasons Transformers Prime is one of my favorite Transformers cartoons is because even the always-been-evil characters had reasons and motivations beyond "we're evil just because" (For example Airachnid who lived for the thrill of trophy hunting).

My main concern about this season is the noticeable downgrade in animation when compared to the last two seasons, which felt much more fluent. Happy to see that they are leaning towards Prowl's more mysterious, off-the-books IDW persona in the show. I guess we'll see how things turn out by release.

The Decepticon logo is supposed to be Megatronus (the Prime, and Megatron's namesake) and the Autobot logo varies-- in some iterations it has no clear originality and in others (like Transformers One) it came from Alpha Trion, who is also Optimus's mentor in some iterations.

I said this before with TJOmega that I think the way that Paramount and Nickelodeon treated Earthspark is sort of like how Disney treated The Owl House (even though I think The Owl House is a better show and I think Earthspark is a show that exists, it's not terrible or great but it's simply a show that exists)

Earthspark could have EZ been the best TF continuity so far. But they had to do ghost, for some reason the OG bots are as incompetent and nerfed as the episode demands, the new bots are as competent and powerful as the episode demands it, then they phok'd up with politics, and TBH have not noticed a real character arc for none of the new bots just episodic attempts at it that do not reflec in the next.
