Ah, where do I start? This remix is absolutely phenomenal, and also shows us how a simple thing, like in this case a drum loop, can change COMPLETELY a song's meaning. First we have the prowler roars, that are just like in the original track, reminding us the impending danger that's looking for us. But then the drums kick in, and instead of giving us the "being looked for" feeling it gave us earlier, it says to us "I have to run, NOW" and when the emotional, tragic part of the original song drops out, the strings that once sounded tragic now sound hopeless and eerie, thanks to the drums overwhelming them (plus the change of tone this version has comparing it to the original song). That, and the Prowler sounds being more noticeable due to the drums makes this a powerful combination, since now, instead on focusing on the tragic melodies, the song focuses on the aggressive drums, and that plus the Prowler sounds makes your adrenaline stand up. It's an alarm for us to run away from whatever the godforsaken thing that's chasing you is. And I think the best part is the little pauses it has, because it seems like a moment to reflect about, a very very brief moment where you feel in peace, just like turning a corner running from something or someone, before realizing they're already there. The thing that makes me love this mix is that it actually captures almost perfectly the feeling that being chased gives you. Many will say it's because The Prowler's theme is the main responsible of this, but I think it's all fault of the drums, because even if the original song sounded like a chase, the drums add the intensity the original kind of lacked. I really want you to release the full version, man. Even only being 1 minute long, this thing gets me so hyped up. Bravo!

LAYER 8: FRAUD 8-4//THE EMBODIMENT OF FEAR The machine, covered head to toe in the blood of the creatures it has fought, lands at the end of the elevator shaft with a loud thump. As V1 exits the room, it finds themself in a dark corridor leading to a door and a panel that has a small bit of the screen broken off. The machine walks up to it and the panel lights up. The only thing showing on the screen is an error message. "KEYCARD REQUIRED." The machine looks around the room, looking for a way around this door. V1 spots a vent that it assumes leads to the other side of this door. The machine changes to the KNUCKLEBLASTER And blasts it open. After crawling around for a bit, the machine falls out from the ventilation system and into the other side, leading to a testing chamber for a core of some sort. The room is destroyed as if a bomb went off in the room, or maybe the core was blown up. A loud smashing sound is heard from in the core room. V1 goes to see what it is only to find 3 people, one man in a red and blue outfit, dead on the floor, a large man wearing a suit, and a man with a purple outfit and black cape. The 2 men standing above the red and blue man become motionless as the light from the machine glares down onto them. The slowly turn their heads around and look at V1. The large man opens his mouth and says, "Kill that guy." The purple man jumps up into the same area as the machine and proceeds to run after him. The machine, for the very first time in its life, feels fear, but still attempts to fight back. A health bar grows onto V1's sights. "PROWLER". The machine can't tell what the man is thinking, but one thing is for sure between the both of them. *THIS WILL BE ONE HELL OF A FIGHT.*
