Parang mali yung example sa intervening cause. According to Luis Reyes' Book on RPC: "The weak or diseased physical condition of the victim, as when one is suffering from tuberculosis or heart disease" is not an efficient intervening cause. Cited jurisprudence is People v. Illustre and People v. Reyes. In this case, the proximate cause is still yung panghoholdap kasi that act is the cause why the victim got startled and hence suffered heart attack. It is a logical consequent of the the offender's act since a heart attack can be caused by an event of that kind. Hence, the criminal should be held liable.
