I watched another channel's (300k subs) video for straight 10 minutes with diagrams and after effects stuff and I didn't understand, and here you did it within just 2 minutes. Thanks.

Great demonstration of the low end boost effect of proximity in cardioid pattern with this mic. Thanks for posting this.

wow, this issue was actually an issue of one of my *engineering of sound* course, the funny thing is that the document on this issue couldn't explain it to me at all whilst this 3/5 minute video explained it accurately. oh boy do we have flaws in our educational systems...

Quick question. Did you use any processing on the mic recording of this video? Or is it just a raw, clean recording of a U87.
@NICUofficial Жыл бұрын
nice, I love learning this stuff. It's incredible how much time & money we spend on our gear when 80% of the sound is determined by things like A) how much have you practiced your performance and B) just how close is your mouth to the microphone LOL Basically I could either learn my craft or I could just spend another $4000 trying to "tighten up the booming bass" with boutique analog gear to "remove that low-end from your microphone" (never mind that the microphone probably marketed itself as having "thundering low-end response to capture all the power of your performance" it's such a vicious cycle, lol. instead, make good music and practice your performance because a great performance captured on mediocre gear is >>>>> a mediocre performance captured on great gear ya know?

I bought a Rode NT1 primarily for Discord and games because my voice is so deep it distorts every headset on the market 😅
