This temple is hilarious. The surreal vertigo of the endless circling and killing the same respawning enemies is really elevated by that faint meandering flute in the background. The designers really knew what they were going for

Law school tips: 1. Actually read your caselaw. No one ever does the fucking readings, even in law school. You will give yourself a huge advantage. 2. Know the process. Know the exact step-by-step method for solving problems and follow it religiously when you're writing your exams. 3. Lots of people don't know what they want to do when they graduate, so just take a variety of courses and see what you like, and take subjects that'll be on the bar exam. 4. If you need to save money, go to lunch-hour seminars. They often have food! 5. And don't forget to have fun!!!!!

I played a couple Portal 2 mods through the Perpetual Testing Initiative that recreated the Forest and Water Temples with all the Zelda puzzles replaced with puzzles you can do with a portal gun. Like instead of pulling blocks you might use funnels to position them, and instead of gathering keys and changing water levels you'd get reflection cubes to activate lasers that would raise and lower platforms. The Water Temple mod even had a miniboss fight with Dark Chell, who'd launch bombs at you that you had to redirect back at her. They were both such perfect recreations I even got lost trying to find that same room and that same key everyone misses from the original Water Temple.

Man, I had that exact same "I missed class the whole year, I forgot I had this class" dream as SungWon so often. Even years after graduating.

It’s pretty relieving hearing that I’m not the only person who has had a nightmare similar to the premise of “I forgot I had this class and never attended it and now it’s time for the final exam”

First game I ever beat as a kid was this CD-ROM game called Glider Pro I think. You play as a paper airplane navigating through a house, trying not to touch the ground or crash into anything and you'd get points for how fast you could get through each room and for shooting rubber bands at balloons.

0:07 Elvis was making that sound for a whole day... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 0:50 When it comes to Elvis's hint giving, I've noticed that at least 8 times out of 10, silence can be taken as a yes. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 1:40 Longshots. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 4:30 A nice commercial. I do love Robin Williams, and that is very sweet. ❤️❤️❤️ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 7:10 The tension is so intense here! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 9:20 Got a key and were back in everyone's favorite room. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 15:45 "Never had characters as popular as those things." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 19:20 The first one I beat on my own was probably Mario 3. I'm pretty sure I beat Super Mario World around the same time too. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I loved the Ducktales game for NES. I can't remember if I beat it as a kid but I could get pretty far. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 26:00 Drinking with your professor is a fun time. And it guarantees a good grade. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 29:00 That's Horse Giblets. I needed some science credits so I took a geology class in college. It was basically 2 classes in one, a lab and a lecture, but it was only worth 4 credits instead of 6, so I was doing twice the work for only 1 1/3 of the credit. Both classes were hard for me and I didn't do great on my first couple of exams so I really needed a good final grade. During finals week I had a different class that had a non-mandatory last class where we were just going to watch a movie. I could've skipped that class and slept in, but I kinda wanted to see that movie, so I went. The movie bored me to sleep, but since I was already on campus I went the geology lab after to get the textbook I forgot so I could study. This was on a Tuesday. If I hadn't gone to that movie, I was planning to get that book the next day because I thought my final was on Thursday and I'd still have a day to study. But my teacher was in the classroom when I went to pick up my book and on the way out I said "See you Thursday" and he told me, "What are you talking about? Your exam is today". And that's how I learned I only had a couple of hours to study for my final, and I would've totally missed it if I hadn't forgotten my textbook and ALSO decided to get up early to see a boring movie and pick it up a day earlier than I thought I'd need it.

Fun little thing I discovered years and years ago: when dropping down the shaft after getting the Longshot, if you stand to the side, equip the Iron Boots and side hop into the hole, you can clip thru the wall and enter the Pink Void, where you fall until you hit the death plane. It doesn't do anything but lose you hearts, but it's funny to watch your minimap arrow go wayyyyyyyy out of bounds

I think the first game I beat was prolly like Donkey Kong Country or Kirby Superstar. Also, feel like the Water Temple is my favorite these days, granted the boots menuing is annoying, but just love what a change of pace it is. That said, it's definitely not the ideal way to experience it, as it basically demands your full attention and letsplayitis is real (not a dig at this playthrough, which is great, just a general observation)

I don't honestly remember for certain what my first game I beat was but I'm guessing it was Spyro? It was also my first game/game that got me into video games.

My childhood was so filled with freeware, shareware and demo disks, most of what I remember where games that I could not 'beat' (not that I was any good at action even then). I think the first games I beat had to be something like Max and the Haunted Castle? Billy Bear doesn't count because those were more like storybooks.

God, I hated the NY regents, but especially that math test. They were so difficult, but they were notorious for having questions where they had to give you points after the test was given. I failed it the first time i took it but they gave me points back because one of their bad questions and those points made me pass so i didn't have to take it again.
