To really get the best from the Piezo model you need to use the second output jack and send that pickup to a quality acoustic amp. It adds a lot of depth to the sound and takes the tone to another level.

Bought the piezo version last year and have been delighted with it. Not had to have any work done on it, except cosmetic (I swapped to black pickup rings and switch top). Mainly used for church playing. Use the combined output. For better acoustic sound I use acoustic guitar IRs on the TC Electronic IR loader pedal - also have some amp sim IRs when using the magnetic pickups as we go DI into the mixer - no amps.

IMO get the Piezo version. Then use the second output jack and run the Piezo to a quality acoustic amp. It adds another layer to your tone and sounds fantastic. Beware, I have owned four PRS SE models including the Hollowbody II Piezo. All needed a level - crown - polish. None came from the factory with perfectly level frets. I paid £150 to get a PLEK done on the Hollowbody and it made it play so much better. The pots also feel cheap, I'd like to upgrade those, but with limited access to them it's a tricky job. It's a good guitar, but to be great needs work.

Fortunately you don't have to. Just compare the plastic binding on the standard to the curly maple on the piezo and your eyes will decide for you.

To my ears, the power version you played sounded better on both the Ibanez AS93FM and Ibanez AF95FM 😊 Perhaps we are paying extra for the fancy birds😂
