I just found your channel and enjoyed some of your videos (came here to learn about hellebores initially.) I hope you are feeling well and perhaps on the mend. (I don't mean to pry.) Just a fellow gardener who wishes you well. Happy Spring gardening ❤

Nice flower you planted, I'm still a frash man gardener, and your video give me some help, but now I'm still can not identify what happened to my hydrangea, the edges of the leaves are curling forward and turning dead brown. I watered them but not help, can it be that I poured too much water? The temperature outside is between 80-85 ℉

Hi. Check inside the curled area and make sure you don’t have a leaf roller in there. I also suggest checking the soul before watering-overwatering can cause brown edged leaves. Make sure not to get water on the leaves when you water and water put by the drip line. How much sun is the plant getting? What Zone are you in? Has it been rainy or dry? You can pinch off the browning leaves as you may have a fungus. Burn or trash the leaves but don’t compost them. I look forward to your comment. 🍀

@@TinthiaClemant Thanks for your replying, I'm very sure there's no leaf rollers in the my plants, because it's only very edge of leave were curling. And I put it in a shadow, but still can get it sunlight due the morning and sunset. I'm in Z8, Savannah GA. I think I might be water it kind to much, because since I heard hydrangea need lot of water, so I kind water them everyday. and I also add some aluminium sulfate inside of soil. And I not sure how much I used, probably one bottom of pot.

@@elskesisme hello. Potted flowers do need more water than plants placed in the ground but overwatering can occur. Invest in a water meter, I have a video on the topic. They are not expensive. last questions: have you fed your plant? And what type of soil is in the pot? Aluminum sulfate is only for color, doesn’t give the plant nutrients. Keep me posted. Happy gardening 🌹

@@TinthiaClemant Okay, for the soil, I chose Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix, and I didn't give them flower food, because I check the Google, they said hydrangea don't request lot of flower food, and I also don't know how much to use.

@@elskesisme Hi, hydranges need to be fed twice a year: when setting buds (spring in my zone) and again mid summer. When potted the nutrients tend to leech through the soil and out so I recommend giving your plant a blast of food. I use Jobe’s Rose and Flower food or Espoma Flowertone. A little bit goes a long way so follow the package directions. You can also work a bit of compost, not manure, into the soil if you can find a small bag at your local garden center. Or perhaps a neighbor can give you a cup or two. Try feeding the plant and snip off the badly curled leaves Keep me updated. Remember, gardening should be fun; relax and enjoy the process. 💖
