Sweet little yard you have there. Thanks for posting your kiwi pruning. I'm growing hardy kiwi approximately 25 miles north of Seattle and am just learning how to prune them. I'm training using a similar method to yours, espalier against a fence, so your explanations and reasons for cuts are very helpful. Mine have been in the ground for 2 years and I did my first pruning last December. From here I'm not so sure what the heck I'm doing. I figure I'll watch them and make experimental trims this summer. I am tickled pink with these plants. Their growth is explosive and so beautiful. Very easy to grow. Thanks again! I hope you'll post some updates on your lovelies. Meanwhile I'll watch your video a few more times...

G'day Kris, thanks for watching and supporting my channel. If your lucky you may get fruit in a year or 2. Has your kiwifruit flowered yet.

@@frasercoastfoodforest3092 My Issai has little flower buds developing now. It had a couple flowers last year but never set fruit so expectations are low until the male flowers. I noticed last December what looks to be fruit spurs (?) on my Ken's red and male plant. Those little bumps are just popping with green points now, so I'm anxious to see if flowers show. Fingers crossed!
