Prusik Knot

Thanks for the video. I use the Prusik knot to climb a yacht mast using the Prusik knot on the main halyard and the topping lift as a safety line.

Such a great knot and you provided good guidance. I haven’t used it enough under extreme load but apparently the rope used for the pursik should be 1/3 the diameter of the main line for max friction grip

in Indonesia prusik is the name of a rope, in fact it is the name of a knot😁
