Make your own from paracord. Since not weight bearing works great. Use fisherman knot or other cinching knot. Got idea from DIY Sportsman channel

What kind you get and how much was it?

Shady & Becka Palmz Slingshot. Think it was $169.00. I only needed the saddle as I have a lineman and tether already.

Yeah I have all that too... that's a lot for a saddle I think no matter what kind it is. These saddle companies are making a killing...lol

You actually don’t need to go through all that trouble. Just place your tether through the carabiner and it would do the same job.

Purchased your saddle last year, would you include these in triad purchase, or will you them individually

They are easy to make yourself if you want, but if you order a TriAd, send a note and we can get you one.

Great idea what did you make the tending cord out of? Also I’m wondering if I can place two of them on. One behind and one in front. I use a 2 in 1 lanyard so I’m sliding the prusik both ways up the tree. I assume it would work the same I would just have to make the loop that goes above the Prusik to be a little longer. What do you think?
@H2Saddles
@H2Saddles 3 жыл бұрын
They are made from UHMWPE (aka Amsteel). It would not work in both directions, at least not like you would want it to.

@@H2Saddles yeah i tried it out last night, it does work with tending the slack however it also allows the prusik to collapse and run on the rope when applying weight to either side so i wont be doing that up in the tree lmao ill just use it on the one side and on the other side ill just use my hand to slide the prusik.

Can the rope for the Prusik be the same diameter as the rope it is going on?
@H2Saddles

The prusik should be smaller diameter for best results

@@H2Saddles hi is that 15" total amsteel length then? Many people sell buried continuous loops as the final length if pulled tight, so 7" may be right? Thanks! Need to get one for my tether, using a ropeman for my ladder man's rope.
@H2Saddles
@H2Saddles 3 жыл бұрын
@@marcg611 The length needs to be shorter than the distance between the bottom of your friction hitch to your carabiner. You want the weight to be transferred to your tender and able to push on the bottom of the friction hitch while there is no load on the friction hitch. Hopefully that makes sense. If you girth hitch the tender to your carabiner, keep in mind that you will lose some length in that girth hitch.

The kit comes with two ropes, one for your tether and the other for a positioning (lineman) rope.
