Die bisher beste Inszenierung dieser Geschichte in einem Spielfilm. Großartige Darsteller, eine tolle Regie und eine renomierte Produktionsfirma fanden hier zueinander. Auf das Militär in Preußen wurde in der ganzen Welt mit ehrfürchtiger Bewunderung geschaut - auf ein Militär, das sich einen Staat leisten konnte. Nur hier konnte auch ein "Hauptmann von Köpenick" möglich werden !
