I read somewhere that initially she wanted to try to get rid of the grittiness in her voice but her vocal coach told her to embrace it. Good move! There's an acoustic version of this song where the grittiness in her voice is far more pronounced and I love it.

I really enjoy Sigrid's music. She has an awareness inside of her beyond her years. From the pop tunes to the ballads, her feelings and her voice carry through. "Home to You" is one of my favorites. It was used in the film, "The Aeronauts." Sigrid has called it a love letter to her hometown.

Sigrid is from Norway 🇳🇴 Norway have so many talented musicians these days. And thanks for KZbin that the world actually can listen to them. Norwegian musicians are underrated alot. 👍 And its sad 😔 Sigrid is on her way up, but maybe a bit in the shadow of Aurora. Because they are friends. Ingrid have that growl in her voice and could easily sing rock, witch Aurora doesn't have. There is a girl named Kalandra, also a friend of Aurora and Sigrid. She is amazing too. Well.. 😊👍Nice reaction! Sigrid is from Ålesund, Norway, and she won the BBC sound of 2018. Both her and Aurora are amazing artist. Sigrid and her family is massive Neil Young fans, and she said Adele was a big influence on her. By the way, she has a few balads like this, but most of her songs are more pop. It¨s funny you mentioned that it would have been beautiful with just a piano, because she have done that. - Dynamite (Acoustic ). I saw there are a lot of info in the comments about her, but I didn't read them all. I was looking for reactions of Dirty Loops ( hm, couldn't find any, 🤔) when I came across this, . What I did find, was a lot of reactions to BMTH though, and Sigrid have a collaboration with them in - Bad Life One version Acoustic (with Sigrid on the piano) and one Official video. But still, I would love to hear your reaction to - Burning Bridges (Up close, Acoustic).

interestingly I have slowly become aware the Auroura's , AJs, Nightbyrde, now Sigrid and others is that the vocals they perform there is absolutely nowhere to hide in their singing like you say no tricks required. Guess you have mentioned it before authenticity 😁

How have you not heard of " sigrid "she is a absolutely tremendous successful established artist with a unique voice , and this isn't her best performance of this song. look forward to more reactions. she reminds me a little of " ALANIS MORISSETTE " remember her ."
