Last time I cared about losing was ufc 3 cause everything wasn’t complicated there was a skill gap between players there was no meta bs just straight skill these last two games have been exploited to death either to striking meta or just grappling exploits by people who think they are actually good at the game using that style. running into somebody like this really doesn’t surprise me anymore that’s the sad part

Im with you. In ufc5 this playstyle is sadly meta. 90% of ps5 top 100 are mostly players like this because you can just simply abuse the struggle mechanic and deny left or right. I probably wont invest in ufc6 if the submission system is still the same. I cant wait for undisbuted.

Getting caught while reaching for the clinch should be just as devastating as getting caught while slipping. The stamina loss on failed or denied takedowns should be much higher, like at least doubled

re downloaded the game a couple of weeks back after months away from it for this exact reason. Some guys on reddit saying it was better and they'd patched a lot of the issues and straight away I ran into this takedown spam crap. Deleted the game again, its beyond repair.

It’s just unrealistic and sucks the fun out of the game when the takedown attempts are 20 per round and your opponent doesn’t lose more stamina than you for it. It’s a trash game, ufc 4 is far superior

Ranked is DEAD. You got strikers with 99 punch power abusing slips (some call it EU playstyle {WHICH IS CHEESE}) and THEN you got grapplers spamming clinches and takedowns. EA doesn't care at all about their game whatsoever, just the revenue that it brings in. All it takes is a devoted dev that cares about his game to fix this. On top of that, no matter what type of game you make, there will always be that Lil Jimmy trying to find the latest exploits to cheese his way to the top.

I kinda like the possibility of "high octane" fights that you might see in lower weight classes, but maybe balance it so that if they choose to push too far beyond what the fighter is capable of then they take a massive hit to their recovery

This game is more of a UFC 4.5 other than a 5. EA drops the ball a little bit on this series, IMO. Im not a hardcore player of it though. That NCAA 25 looks good as hell though. Go Canes!

They need to slow down the pace of the game to simulate irl fights and the grappling/clinch system needs a to be tweaked. A lot of people over in Australia play the same way and it’s hard to punish that type of style.

UFC 4 was my first ever ufc now 5 is my second I get better and better I love ufc i use skill but people that play cheesy play to have a good record not actually good, it’s hard to find legit comp because finding comp makes it fun it’s ok if your record is trash or if your not good just keep playing and find your style it’s no big deal but people have no combos and it angers me I don’t care if I get a win they play like 💩 and I’m disgusted to my stomach LOVE YOU PRY YOU DA GOAT❤️

I still like how the stamina is so busted when defending takedown or trying to get up. You just watch your stamina go down and the other guys go up. Sorry it takes effort and stamina to keep someone on the ground

The antidote to this play-style rn especially when the user is this aggressive abt it is to spam uppercuts in anticipation of his takedown shots and be aggressive with body shots over time to reduce stamina for their ground game overall as the fight progresses.. if he’s smart and starts throwing uppies back @ you on body punches look for the read slip counter & then just wait for the stamina advantage to build for the knock out, reverse sub or rage quit 9 times outta 10 🤓

Uppies and hooks are also the best counter to clinch attempts if you can time it, slip like your doing is probably the safest option, try to throw a counter off the slip anytime you can though to tax that ass overtime 💀💯

i think the game plays Extremely fast, no fighter is throwing 300 strikes in a 5 round fight and still pushing the pace getting takedowns and throwing high kicks/knees, it benefits players who are better at cheese combinations and block breaks then it does the players who play it like a real fight with technical set ups and defence. I do think it’s fun as it is now but for the most part i’d prefer it slower. Helps players like me and you as i’ve seen in ur videos. Fight IQ means nothing in ufc5 😂

If you really want to see how bad the punches are in this game, go into career in hard or legendary and see how many perfect shots you set up on the cpu and look at the damage it does it’s comical even if it’s maxed out punched with a perk

100 power in this game should be way higher power wise, I can understand this if I you're playing khabib, etc, but the ground game has been the same as ufc 1 and I'm a high level grappler the animations feel sloppy they camera angles, if your fighting peirera two or 3 clean shots should be sleep time.. why don't they just make simulation mode competitive mode it's so much more realistic
