For long i2c wires i use Level shifters to get a much higher voltage at the datalines, so convert it to 12v or something like this, transmitting it to the wire, and after this convert it back to the original voltage Levels. I use this whith the Esp32 5m distance. This works fine for all digital Signals, Even whith i2s and i2c.

Yeah thats actually a great idea! Its still a bit prone to harsh EMI. I also thought about using differential signaling, but programming an app is quite fun and reduces parts :)

The cheap chinese vesc 4.2 clones feature 2 ADC input channels i think. They can be configured as brake and throttle in the vesc tool.

Even though you have a new camera now, the focus is still not on point. Can you maybe setup the autofocus to track faces? Or maybe you are using a very low bitrate because I was not able to find sharp parts in your video.

Yeah used manual fixed focus for the main recording and moved too far forward, will pay more attention to that in the next videos

Ich hatte das gleiche Problem mit zu langen Kabeln. Habe ein Gimbal für ein UL Flugzeug gebaut, was durch Servos gesteuert werden sollte. Leider hat das PWM Signal Störungen im Flugfunk verursacht. Habe auch Geschirmtes Kabel usw ausprobiert. Aber das hat auch nicht so wirklich funktioniert. Schlussendlich wollte ich auch eine App extra dafür zusammenbasteln aber da habe ich mich nicht heran getraut. Stattdessen habe ich mir so ein WLAN Modul für die Arduino Boards besorgt und eine Drahtlose Verbindung zwischen zwei Nanos hergestellt. Klappt alles super und die Störungen sind weg. Vielleicht kannste das auch bei deinem Scoter machen und die Daten einfach an das Display senden. Eine App ist natürlich noch eleganter 😅

haha ja shit, alternative wäre natürlich auch CAN zu benutzen, die meisten arduino alternativen können ja schon CAN. aber ich wollte kein zweiten microcontroller verbauen, das einfach nicht einfach nachbaubar und ist auch am ende kein nices open source system... Ne android app ist da deutlich cleaner und simpler reduziert fehlerquellen ist billiger usw. :)

@@Pryside von CAN habe ich noch nix gehört. Das merke ich mir Mal. Jaa auf jeden Fall! Find ich echt geil, dass du dich da jetzt rein gearbeitet hast. Da können wir ja jetzt bestimmt viele neue, spannende Projekte erwarten (E-Scooter eingeschlossen).
