both mother and daughter , mandagini and nandhini have gone through a lot of hardships. but both opposite to each other. mandagini is such a pure soul but due to duration her character arc is reduced . in the novel Nandhini knew everything who is her father her mother and her resemblence to her mother. in one chapter nandhini with her untied free hair would scare sundara chozha ( as she knows that she looked like her mother). in the novel Sundara could not even stand , he came running only to catch mandagini's body with arrow in her chest. vanthiyathevan meets nandhini in that night of full moon. it is here he tells her about her mother. she cries and asks him to bring her mother to her atleast one time she wants to lie her head upon her mother's lap and cry. Nandhini even promises him that I will not kill karikalan I just want to see my mother atleast once. mandagini deadth comes after this she has NEVER seen her mother 😔

@@krishnadevan1228 Maniratnam portrayed Arunmozhi as a rightful and just King in that scene. He did not abondon his people out of fear for his own safety. In so much crowd, he managed to outperform his assasins without even spilling a single drop of blood inside or outside of monestry. Despite being alarmed for not to ascend the Ambari (elephant ride), he did so to, very smartly, saving himself and the lives of people and showcased his might. That's the best ever portrayal of any King I've ever seen in any movie.

Nambi knows a lot cos he's a first hand spy to the prime minister anbil anirudar on the novel. Also there's a lot of things left out from the novel the magical almost fantasy style intro of poonguzhali, the murder of the mute queen, their love story etc

@tushar dude season 1 was about hype season 2 was about the villan reveal and all but the core was Kali vs kalki right? Season 2 was hyping to be a good one it flunked when the villain was shown as egoistical genius who acts as a cleanser of the society but Kali asur was the one who promotes corrupt and corruption in all forms....as an audience I was hoping for an all out villain to show the true face of society and all but it felt weak

In the novel, we get to see a lot more of Mandakini. Also some very important characters and stories have been filtered out. Manimegalai is the dark princess of the kingdom where vikram is rn and she loves karthi (1 sided). She gives her life to save him and dies on his lap. Its the most beautiful arc ever. Missed opportunity for Mani to make it into a web series. Also the boat girl and the flower guy were supposed to be very important to the story. They have some really beautiful dialogues about love which showcased how independent and free the boatgirl is as a female character. The dialogues and the acting 10/10. The cast fits the characters perfectly.

PS -1&2 are more honest and sincere with their approach and portrayal of the rich culture of India, than Adipurush. That's why I keep saying, any South director, even a Muslim, would have done more justice to Adipurush than Omm Raut. I don't question or concerned about Omm's religious fervor, but he clearly lacks something. The best story of India is lack lustre. Hope Bollywood doesn't do another bad Mahabharatam before Rajamouli starts his dream project of Mahabharatam.
