Wow, thanks for the detailed review! I never had a PS3 or a PS2 but I had a PSP back in the day. I might buy the top tier option as I never had the chance to play those games. I see that it has Red Dead Redemption 1, which I never had the opportunity to play, but Red Dead Redemption 2 is my all time favorite game so even if I only play that game it is worth it for me.

There are actually games in the premium tier I'd be interested in, but unfortunately it's hard to justify upgrading when it's... 1.) Expensive, and 2.) I already have a large backlog of games to finish as is. The tiers are cool, but I really hope they want to work on adding fun stuff like themes, community features, and folders. Updates like that would really hype me up as a PS person.

I was Automatically Upgraded to Premium since I had the 2 Year High End one forgot what it was called. But the Fact I can now play and Complete Toy Story 2 after a 20 Year non complete because I rented it from Hollywood Video and had to return it almost at the Tail end of the Game. Never went back for it mainly because Mom didn’t have money at the time. And I would get an Allowance till I turned 13. And Intelligent Cube, Tekken 2, and Syphon Filter the 4 main Highlights of my PS1 Years next to Die Hard Trilogy which I do hope we get down the line! Since I grew up with the PS Generations Premium is a good choice for me but at some point I will buy the titles I can and then just downgrade to Extra but since my Service doesn’t end till December 2023 I’m good!

I’m going for extra, it’s a great option that comes with amazing games, game trials are just basic and not repeatable, like cloud streaming, you need good internet and in my opinion there’s no good games for cloud streaming ootion

They are available under extra, if we choose miles morales for example, if we go to buy it in the store and hover over the ps plus icon then it will say this is included if you have extra

Nope, the games you installed though PS Plus Extra will be locked unless you purchase the game or renew your subscription.

I know if you downgrade you lose access to the games from the upper tier but there’s no answer on will the games from your current tier still be playable if you upgrade. I have ps plus extra. If you got some of the ps4 games from the free monthly games won't let you download the ps5 version of that game. Tennis Wold Tour 2 is an example of this. It wants you to pay for it. I had the same problem with the dark anthology series and both of those are ps4 games. They need to fix the store.

I have the ps plus extra. That means I have access to ps4 and ps5 games. Which means I paid for the games in the pass. Also I have a ps5. Why would I want to play something that's meant for ps4 when there is a ps5 version of it?

Yea it’s an awkward thing they implement with the monthly games. They specify if it’s a PS4-only or a PS5-only inclusion. If you own the PS4 version of a game (not PS+ freebie, but actually own) then the PS5 upgrade is free for most games (except games like Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut for example which is a $10 extra upgrade fee), but if you got a PS4-only version of a game via PS Plus, then Sony is saying you are not entitled to a free PS5 upgrade. Confusing and weird I know but that’s how they have structured it
