honestly, a micro usb port and slightly larger back grips sold me to the PSVita 2000, sure the 1000 has Hall Effect sticks, more premium look and the OLED, but the 2000 in it's own right still looks good in terms of the design and the screen anyway. But in the end both have their strengths and weaknesses though both generations are still good handhelds.

Honestly when getting my vita the charging port was a huge selling point for me to get the 2000. Because being able to replace a broken cable with like a dozen more in my wire drawer was more important then how the screen looked. Thought the vitas a great Console regardless I just love being able to bring a battery power bank with me on camping trips and being able to play my vita.

I love both, but my oled vita is just so beautiful when playing games. But I play the non oled one more because I feel more comfortable taking it out knowing it’s so light that if I drop it, I won’t do too much damage to it

The charging port on my 1000 is still super tight. Micro USB is notorious for failing, so id rather spend 5 bucks on proprietary cord if I lost it then have to disassemble and solder on a new micro USB port when it inevitably fails over time. Remember any changes between the 1k and 2k were to cut costs and aren't actually upgrades in any way.

What made me buy a 2000 when I had the 1000 was the brightness. 1000 just sometimes so dark to see the game. Its oled yes, but the brightness is just too low.

@@miiisohsoup2889 the opposite. 1000 colors pop yes, but not bright. You will get annoyed on how low the light’s especially if you play outside. It’s a big difference in brightness when I got the 2000. You could google vita oled nits and read through some that apparently vita oled is locked to only 50% of max brightness that’s why it is dimmer than normal oled glass. It depends on games as well too.

The 2000 is still freaking heavy. Can't Play for a long time. The PSP 2000 on the other hand is the perfect mobile console (and maybe the first GBA, but only the feeling)
