With so many old games I used to get lost in the background art and listen to the level music. Ape Escape's Dark Ruin level was my all time favorite to do that on. I'd stop playing just to look out into the distance, and listen to the music. I haven't gamed in years so I can't tell if that's still a quality apart of new games, but there room for big imagination and a spirit behind a lot of classics.

That slime monster in level 6 scared me sh*tless as a kid because back then he was so difficult for me to beat. Man, this was one of my FAVORITE computer games as a little girl! My little bro and I would take turns playing the game while our father either watched or helped out. We’d laugh at all the shenanigans onscreen, defeat bosses together, and just have a grand ol’ time. The last level we played together was the one where we had to defeat Zurg - and at the time, neither of us could figure out how to beat him! It was so hard! It wasn’t until years later that we finally figured it out, and it was only when my brother picked up the game again that we finally beat Zurg and finished what we started…. MAN, those were fun times! 😂😭

Love this game to bits but it was a childhood nightmare fest, took me years to beat it just because it scared the shit out of me. That bat/kite thing on level 2 started it all, thing was terrifying especially after it did the spinning thing. Eventually after months of stalling I got my dad to beat the bat for me, then i up against the the jackhammer thing on the construction level, made me stop playing for a while again but eventually managed to beat it. Then the Slime thing was the worst, made me completely stop playing for 2 years. Eventually I managed to beat it and the game after a long while. This game was fucking terrifying for me as a child but I love it.

one of my favourite games, I replay it yearly once or twice and often have music from it playing in my head at random times to this day. I love this game. it is incredibly nostalgic for me also. Toy story racer very much too. I wish there were more games where you are a toy dude. The buzz lightyear game is also very nice.

I absolutely adore this game’s soundtrack and sound mixing but the sound effects and music were a little unsettling at times.

The attemtion to detail in this game is impressive for a game of its time, especially considering that this was a movie tie in. Shame THQ is no longer around
