Same dude. My brother and I had that Hollywood Video and later Blockbuster rent pass and we rented every single co op game on PS2. Gauntlet was by far one of the most memorable when i think back to those times.

i had an xbox classic when i was a baby boy. and most games were very difficult. this was one of them, but despite the difficulty, man, did i play the hell out of this game. it was so good. the art and vibes freaked me out. it had me feeling like i was truly in another world, thanking god we live in a world where dragons and dead men dont roam the earth. i could never beat it because i was too young to understand what most of the words meant. i remember i moved and left this copy in a disk compartment at my cousins house. ive been searching for it ever since. thanks for posting this video. i can cross this out from my bucket list. its silly getting emotional about a game, but this easily brings me back to those times.

Unlike the PS1 version of Legends, they did a fine job with this game. However, I prefer the GC/XBox versions because of the inventory system. It adds so much strategy and subtlety to a game that is fundamentally very simple.

The problem might be because the game was a blue disc. After a period of time, those discs will wear out completely by the laser. I would buy another copy, game is at most 10 bucks so it won't cost you an arm and a leg at least

you can play alot of ps2 games online with friends using a virtual network and the lan feature in the psxe2 emulator. theres tutorials for it online. kinda hard to setup for a beginner but rewarding if you watch the tutorials and learn how to do it.
