I still remember intentionally filling up all the towers back in 2010. That's when I understood how the towers worked. Good times, back when I was *really* patient.

@@Legomacgamer No, I can turn it off. The towers (the games) were saved. I knew how to get rid of them whenever I wanted to. But yeah I did it for hours on end and never went crazy.

@@Legomacgamer Also one game only allows 6 towers to fully grow. After they're fully grown, I have to insert another game to add another 6. (Good example is at 2:05, the user played 2 games for an extended period) Did that until the screen was all filled. Then I cleared the memory and moved on.

@@Brey how does one game allow six towers to grow? I thought one game counted for only one tower.

@@tilbin7855I'm gonna guess it's because there is a maximum amount of games that can be saved on your PS2 memory. Once all the single cubes that represent a game are in the start-up screen, then the PS2 can't memorize any more games until the memory is cleared.

My PS2 doesn't have these towers, I'm so advanced in GTA San Andreas, Need for Speed Underground 2, The Warriors, but there aren't any towers ;-;

The towers of ps2 represnts game sava data, if u play game more longer time, the white classic cube will appeaer, if u play that game more longer, the cube will be more higher, play many long and save them save data games, if ones of these cubes did appears, thx, if dont, try again or see if i am wrong, that can leaves days to a tower appears

@@valterpedro1 actually lots of people make a mistake and call it save data but it's not save data it's the amount of games you have played and the hight of the tower represent how much time you've played a game for this can be edited in the system config file with a PC. The guy who made this video did the same thing I did he has PCSX2 which is a PS2 Emulator which makes it easier to edit cause the files are already in the PC you just gotta find the the system config file which should be in the virtual memory card

As someone who has never used this ps2 emulator, I have a question. Is the startup menu 1 to 1 of the original hardware? I’m having an internal debate between shelling out a bunch of money I don’t have on 20 year old hardware for the sake of authenticity, but if the entire experience has been replicated and preserved through emulation, I won’t even bother worrying about collecting the old consoles, especially with the prices of old consoles skyrocketing.

If you asking about that tower on pcsx2...all you have to do is boot the game with full boot not fast boot...this will save information about the game you boot up on system configuration file...at least thats how i do it anyway
