Ever since chorus member Honesti (first child to be seen in this video) came to PS22, I would always sing this song to her whenever we'd pass in the hallway. So when she made her way into the fifth grade chorus this year, it made all the sense in the world to stick this song into our repertoire. What DOESN'T make sense is how 9 and 10 year old public schoolers can so impeccably reinvent this ‪@billyjoel‬ classic into something so uncannily beautiful.... Huge props to them and to 4th grade soloist(!!), Rebecca, for their commitment and glorious execution!

Love this. Mr. B, you are doing a phenomenal service giving these kids a space to express themselves so uniquely beautifully. Thank you for sticking with the school and for sticking with the children in the district. Fair play to you, you lovely human being. And the voices in this.....these young people all have such beautiful voices. Normally in a choir this age you can hear one or a few out of tune bits. But this was just about perfect.
