The PS4 version is still the definitive version of the game. Just from watching the video, I saw a massive amount of physics errors that weren't there normally. Plus, the PS4 version has shorter loads, better textures, and a proper 16:9 aspect ratio.

Hey, new user of PCSX2 - this video sold me 100%. I know that the 60fps is a cheat, but what graphics settings and such are on to make the game look this smooth? I tried running KH2 and the textures and what not did NOT look this good, even with 16xAA and such. Is there a tutorial on maxing out the graphics like this?

1.3.0 will never be 'released' it's a development only version. You can get snapshots here: pcsx2.net/download/development/git.html

I know man, I'm just saying that you can't see 1.3.0 in anywhere in the git page, there are a bunch of letters and numbers telling what that revision is but not a version like the aformentioned. Or maybe there won't be any 1.3.0 and they'll jump to 1.4... Is that it? Thanks.

Denim Sans Coeur The bot names it falsely as 1.2.1. If you bothered to download one, you'd see it displays as 1.3.0. GIT does not have revision numbers.

before anything else, i wanted to register on the forums to ask this, but it keeps asking me for a captcha that never shows up, so i can't complete registration. so asking here is my only alternative. anyway, i downloaded version 1.2.1 (which is the latest available at your site, so i don't know where the heck people found 1.3.0) for Windows. i configured everything according to another video i found, plugins and all, but every time i run the game, it always gives me the message "pcsx2-r5875.exe has stopped working" and crashes out. i tried Googling up a solution and the first link sent me to the PCSX2 forums, but i found the thread closed - pretty unfairly, i must say; just because someone mentions "BIOS" DOESN'T FRIGGIN' MEAN THEY'RE SHARING/ASKING FOR BIOS (besides, he said he already had them and didn't put up a link, so how would that constitute an offense to the rules?) - and none of the solutions therein could help me. i have both vcredist-x86 and x64, double-downloaded and repaired, and it still didn't work. one thing that's strange, though, is that my GPU plugins all appear listed as "GSdx 0" rather than "GSdx 5875", as they should (and since the plugins are all installed with the emulator, that probably shouldn't be happening). maybe that has to do with it? if not, then what could i do about it? my specs are as follows: OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit Processor: Intel Core i5-4210U (1.7 GHz) Video Card: nVIDIA GeForce 820M RAM: 8 GB

***** No not really it was pretty cheap. PCSX2 does come with a recording feature, you can use it by pressing F12 and that is what was used

I'm not going to be able to say I'm a part of the PCMASTERRACE with my pc...which lags on native resolution...bloody thing cost £350 as well! ***** That i5 2500K is still a beast today, especially for emulation! The G3258 is a great CPU for emulators, it's perfect for Dolphin and it's also quite good for PCSX2 as-long as you're not playing a game with software rendering.

***** I think a processor with 4 cores or 4 threads, so maybe an i3 at the minimum, although I haven't tested one, and an i5 would be the best bet, especially an unlocked one which you can overclock, although it would cost quite a bit more.

I was digging around in the "cheats_ws.zip" because I wanted to see if I could change it so cutscenes have black borders (I prefer it that way) and I noticed that the 60 FPS fix is in there at the bottom, however in game only the widescreen patch is applied and the game still runs at 30 FPS. Can you explain this?

Because the 60 fps patch is commented out by default, you have to remove the // from in front of it

The game is 60 fps, and the video uploaded is HD 60 fps. Its clear because its well, HD, and an aspect cheat was used.

@@ps2emulator hey pcsx2, i am currently emulating the english patched iso for kh2fm and i installed the 60fps and widescreen cheat code, but the game doesn't run as smoothly as this. i tried using my brother's pc since my laptop is pretty garbage and he has a pretty beefy pc, and it still doesn't work. idk the game just doesn't feel like 60fps even though the framelimiter says that it's running 60fps

Actually I think I got it fixed with the 4gb PCSX2 patch and using Async Mix :3

+DominatioN+ Th3 4gb patch only does something when the game uses more than 4 gb ram (and KH never do that...). Async mix will help if you don't get full speed, but doesn't give you more fps :P

My problem was not the fps, it was that the game began to stutter after several world load ins, instance changing, also KH2FM has more variety of enemies and so, used to happen that if I played for more than 2 hours straight it would start to lag and stutter, now it doesnt and Async mix helped with my cutscene problem, cutscene poped in before audio did causing a silly stutterish audio bug, now its gone, I still get the frame drops when I constantly leave and join worlds though :/ I think its something to do with the loading, dunno.

You'd be better getting an intel cpu. i5 and above are best suited for running PCSX2. I know. but I have tried all of the Jak games both KH games, Ratchet and clank, God of War 1/2, everything looks like this and is completely unplayable. I have been trying to figure out what is wrong for about 7 months now. I shouldn't have these issues. A friend has a system 3x the power of mine and he has these issues also.
