That quality is amazing, any chance you could add the setup process in the description please. My Settings which I have experimented gave me a much better picture while I was playing Gran Turisma 3 A-Spec. At first it played well and looked acceptable but as soon as I changed Config/Video (GS)/Video Settings Interlacing (f5) to bob tff (use blend if shaking) the picture became hugly better. There was a little ghosting on motion but that cleared that around 95% I am really happy with it now but hope you can give us your settings for PCSX2 and your settings on game recording software. I use the GForce experience that comes with my graphics card drivers.

Madara Uchihax it is legal, but PCSX2 makes it very clear that using PS2 bios that are pirated is illegal (from what I understand). They want to make sure you own the console, so it's not as though you are pirating the console itself.

Hey, la wild new question about emulation appears again, defend yourself! You didn't played the game for this video from the beginning, right? You got some files of memory card (or save state) from someone who actually played the game until this point, and then made the video, is this correct? If yes, what is this files called? i didn't find anything about memory card or save state inside my pcsx2 emulator paste, and I've been playing Castlevania Curse of Darkness for a while using both (usual ingame save and save state), but still i can't find the files. Anyway, where are these files? i want to make some backups Do you think these files still gonna work on future versions? I am using 1.2.1 * the emulation of Curse of Darkness is AWESOME by the way.

You can only play online using the new dev9 plugin but only for games that still have servers up (or have some fan servers up)

You probably mean this: github.com/alexsharoff/pcsx2-online It's 4 years old and half working at best but you can give it a shot. We don't despise it at all, but we don't offer support for it since we didn't code it and it's very experimental (and abandoned..)

Yes, OpenGL has been known to be pretty bad for AMD, you should be fine using Direct3D11.

I tried getting some Gameplay footage of this with DXtory at 4k/60 fps using UTvideo codec YUV 422 and was constantly shifting anywhere between 40 to 55 fps. How were you able to capture this? Were you using shadowplay? I tried using MagicYUV but no luck there either and I used the latest dev build. My specs are here: pcpartpicker.com/user/ujrkingdom/saved/GHhscf I'm also using a slower hdd right now and not the one listed in the part list, but have it set up with a ramcache so the effective write speed ranges between 1 - 10 Gb/s depending on how much its writing. My CPU is also OC to 4.6 ghz

Try replacing your HDD with an SSD if you're doing INSANE levels of byte usage. I've never used 4k monitors but most games run like how they would if you did when you render them in PCSX2 that way and I find it lags very little in games like this whilst Dragon Quest 8 or Shadow Of The Colossus is literally a power house killer. I personally use DXTory Video Codec, I've never tested the other codecs, what's the difference between them? I'll try recording a few games in 4k and see how it runs until you respond.

+Gamesfan34260 well I did some tests with the 6 tb hard drive and didn't really change anything. When I usually do my recordings in 4k I usually get either Gpu and/or encode warnings so that prbly just means both my cpu and gpu just can't keep up with both playing and recording together at a steady 60 fps or that the codec isn't optimized for this. I've tried using dxtory video and lagarith lossless codec but I usully get 20 to 30 fps for the video recording with my game play being spiked down around 30 to 40 fps. My best bet is prbly just to tweak the current codecs I'm using as much as possible, but it begs the question, how did the guys at pcsx2 record this video?

+ujrkingdom the difference in the other codecs mainly deals with the type of algorithms they use for either lossless encoding and/or lossless compression with many, myself included, claiming ut video codec, magicyuv, lagarith and x264 codecs to be the best ones for general recording with dxtory, each one is good in its own right, just some are better for some purposes than others with some having compatibility issues with certain editing programs

ujrkingdom I think the PCSX2 team use the Emulators built in video recording. Emulators usually have an option to take screen shots, change speeds and record videos however it's extremely taxing to use the Emulators video software but it'll appear normal once you try to play the video even if it's only 24 when playing.

Sadly since emulators are really cpu intensive even having the most powerful consumer cpu right now prbly won't do much good unless you had a dual or even quad socket like in some server mobos to offload the encoding to.

I mean, it doesn't look like the PC used in this video was super high end. I was using 1.4.0 and had issues with games running without using hacks. Using some hacks was able to get Shadow Of the Colossus at 1080P holding steady 60 FPS.

Shadow of the Colossus is the most demanding PS2 game under PCSX2 (and the original console had frame drops...). KH2 is one of the lightest ones, so it really depends on the game.

OpenGL is a bit slower but that is because it emulates more effects and is more accurate. And that's the reasonw e use it for the videos

I have a question PCSX2, you know your native resolutions you have that we can select? does it scale Like this Native x1 480p Native x2 720p Native x3 1080p Native x4 1200p Native x5 1440p x6 4k Native x8 5k. i know this graph may be wrong but I did testing on my 1440p monitor and native x5 I assume is 1440p reason why I say this is because x6 and x8 don't look any different since I don't own a 4k monitor or higher, you have the time can you please list me your legitimate native resolutions please, thanks!

From the description: Internal Resolution: 4096x3584 (8x native, which in this case is 512x448) The capture used 4096 x 2160 for the video container I suspect Wii games had higher native resolutions, thus 8x is higher than ours

Well there are 2 standards apparently. From wikipedia: The DCI 4K resolution standard, which has a resolution of 4096 × 2160 pixels (256:135, approximately a 1.9:1 aspect ratio). UHD-1, or ultra-high-definition television (UHDTV), is the 4K standard for television and computer monitors. UHD-1 is also called 2160p[6][7] since it has twice the horizontal and vertical resolution of 1080p.[6] It has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 (16:9, or approximately a 1.78:1 aspect ratio). PCSX2 Seriously though, dodge slash is pretty bad for fast paced fights like this. A lot of the time you end up missing a hit with dodge slash and it gives fast bosses like this enough time to recover and kill ya. You just got lucky in this one lol.

I believe it is the the native resolution. If you go on Config>Video (GS)>Plugin Settings, there should be a option called "Internal Resolution:" with a box to its right side written "Native", "2~8x Native" or "Custom". If you click on this box, you can choose between these 9 resolutions. Then you can confirm with a simple "OK" on the botton of the window.

+Yepai Yia, this question really depends on the game. I notice incredible stability and performance in Kingdom Hearts games but Ultimate Spiderman will lag at around 26 frames and crash after minutes of gaming. It generally will run great on most games but some are very likely to lag or even crash. I find the PS3 is a pain to so much as set up, let alone play happily but some people seem to like it, I hear the audio is messed up right now. GC is extremely laggy but stable across the board as far as I'm aware and the Xbox just screams kill me.
