@@CarryTheThree Well it hits different for someone like me that comes from New Zealand going back to old multiplayer games like black ops 2 and mw3 is impossible nowadays because our player base is so small and when we do play games on old-gen like let's say uncharted 3 multiplayer or any of the older cod's we get put in foreign lobbies. most people move on to next-gen and games in our region, especially with cod. We always say America is so lucky cause they can literally go back and play any other multiplayer game and there will be someone playing it.

This is why backwards compatibility should be a standard, honestly. I don't know if it was ever actually confirmed, but I heard PS1 and PS2 will be 100% and PS3 will be a game to game basis (PS3 is difficult to emulate, understandably) on the PS5, and of course PS4 will be BC. PS2 had some online games that I'm sure some people are playing nowadays, maybe people could play PS2 to PS3 online for free (Maybe even PS4 after the PS5 has been out for a few years). Hell, people still play PSO on Dreamcast.

Publius Cornelius Scipio you talking about ps4 yea I don’t blame you. Back in my ps2 games , I got a game 2-3 ears after it’s been release and it was cheaper. Yea back on ps2 I was always a single player guy. San Andreas was amazing so was Scarface and god of war. Then when I got my ps3 back in late 2014, I went straight to multiplayer GTA online. Now I’m 2020 I play gta 5 single player and it’s been fun for a couple hours then I just go straight to black Ops 2 zombies. That’s the game I’m always online in, Ruth the same and different people. It’s crazy how many people still don’t have mics in ps3 in 2020 . Annoys me

He got dropped into an open session and before he could quit out to single player or quit the game altogether some modder instantly leveled him up to 4498.

For example- Demons Souls servers went offline about a year or two ago. Yet one individual was able to set up a private server. That's right, you can do DeS' PvP and co-op in 2020. Google Yuvi's server and you can get the DNS.

Just brought back my old PS3 from a basement in my parents old home , haven't played on that since like 2010, first thing I did was to go through my friends list and I almost cried lol, most of the guys I used to play with hasn't been online for like 8 years. Quality of life changes, smoother gameplay, better mechanics etc. Though if you really want to play these older games, you're better off playing them on a PC. Stuff like world at war is just a blast to play on a higher resolution and high fps with mouse and keyboard controls. It makes the game feel fresh.

The resident evil 5 one took me way back. I remember when I was like 13 playing the game and I joined this persons lobby. She was a grown adult, married and had kids I believe, I didn't have a mic but I responded to everything as he said with game commands. She was so nice and got me through some tough parts of the game, gave me items and kinda showed me the ropes.
