About:
The DualShock 4 (CUH-ZCT1) is the PlayStation 4's controller. It has several new features from DualShock 3. One new feature is a built-in two-point capacitive touch pad on the front of the controller, which can be clicked.[35] This allows the touch pad to represent multiple buttons, as demonstrated in the PS4 version of Elite Dangerous in which the four corners of the touch pad can be mapped to a separate clickable actions.[36] The controller supports motion detection via a three-axis gyroscope and three-axis accelerometer and vibration.[35] It includes a non-removable,[37] rechargeable 3.7 V, 1000 mAh lithium-ion battery, which can be charged while the system is in rest mode. It weighs 210 g (7.4 oz) and has dimensions of 162 mm × 52 mm × 98 mm (6.4 in × 2.0 in × 3.9 in).[37]
The front of the controller features a light bar containing three LEDs that, when lit in conjunction, cause the light bar to glow a variety of colors. Developed for PlayStation VR,[38] it can be used to identify players by matching the colors of the characters they control in a game, or to provide enhanced feedback or immersion by changing patterns or colors in reaction to gameplay.[39][40] An early example of this is displayed in the game Grand Theft Auto V; the light bar will flash red and blue when the player is wanted by the police, simulating the flashing lights of a police car. The light bar is also used in conjunction with the PlayStation Camera to judge the positions and movements of multiple players.[39]
The controller features several input and output connectors: a stereo headset jack (3.5 mm CTIA TRRS connector), a micro-USB port, and an extension port.[35] It can be charged using the console, using a dedicated charging station, or via microUSB using a standalone charger.[35] It also includes a mono speaker, like the Wii Remote, and is the second major controller in video game history to have such feature.[35]
The DualShock 4 features the following buttons: PS button, SHARE button, OPTIONS button, directional buttons, action buttons (triangle, circle, cross,[41] square), shoulder buttons (R1/L1), triggers (R2/L2), analog stick click buttons (L3/R3), and a touch pad click button.[35] These mark several changes from the DualShock 3 and other previous PlayStation controllers. The START and SELECT buttons have been merged into a single OPTIONS button.[35][37] A dedicated SHARE button allows players to upload screenshots and videos from their gameplay experiences.[35] The joysticks and triggers have been redesigned based on developer input,[35] with the ridged surface of the joysticks now featuring an outer ring surrounding the convex dome caps.

My controllers connected just fine the first time I tried it. Now none of them will connect to my pc. There all fully charged and work just wine when I use a wired connection. Its like the pc is just refusing to connect wirelessly with my controllers suddenly. Whats going on?

same! exepct it dont work on wire. it was working 5 minutes ago then i turned it on to play beamng and then it wouldent connect so i dis connected form bluetooth and it just sat on connecting and diddnt connect

Hey Guys, are you certain that the controller is fully charged? Sometimes the controller stays connected to the PC until the battery runs out unless you manually switch it off by holding the home button for 10 seconds. Obviously if the battery runs out then it will not work via Bluetooth just when you connect again with the cable.

Great video! I was a bit confused at first because the controller didn’t enter pairing mode when the usual blue flashing occurred. It turns out I hadn’t held down the ‘Share’ and ‘PS’ buttons long enough for pairing mode to activate. @: 1:32. Also, keep in mind that if you’re using a PS4 controller on a PC, the audio drivers won’t work with DS4Windows unless you have the PS4 Dongle so the headphones connect thru the controller 3.5mm controller jack.

Thinking of buying a new controller to try start again, but the bluetooth in both the controller and pc work fine when paired with other stuff. Very odd issue

I tried so many things in the end even though it was almost fully charged for some reason charging it again until it was fully charged was what worked thanks for that lil tip there was nothing else that I haven't tried

Hey @redeye117! Could there be some kind of obstruction or interference with the signal from the USB? For example I had mine plugged into the back of the PC tower and found that the connection was dropping then used a usb extension cable to get the USB out from behind and the connection has been rock solid since.

Ok so you’ve already tried the controller on something else like a phone to confirm it works? Have you tried removing it from the Bluetooth on your PC restarting and trying again. Also try uninstalling Bluetooth USB from your PC and reinstall that if you have one.

I have paired my "Doubleshock 4" controller successfully on Windows 10 last year, both wired and wireless (using usb adapter, because my desktop pc doesn't have Bluetooth). Earlier this year I updated to Windows 11 and today I've tried to use the controller for a racing video game, but was unable to pair it wirelessly. When using usb cable it pairs and works perfectly tho. When I try to pair wirelessly - nothing happens. Holding the two buttons, it starts flashing but blue light never shows. I'm sure I made it work on Windows 10 and blue light was showing it's connected. If I remember well, I had to click something on fast settings menu, but it changed with Win 11 and I dont know what to do... I'm really confused and spent many hours trying to find a solution today.... What am I missing?? Please help, brother!

Hey @1878reddevil! Sounds like a pain so I’ll do what I can. You might have paired the controller with windows 10 and then upgraded to 11 and the same controller was possibly in the Bluetooth menu. Have you completely remove it from windows and tried again?

@@LovingTechLife yes sir, I even reseted it from the tiny hole on the back. uninstalled/removed the USB adapter. And yes, removed it off the Bluetooth menu.

I also tried with DS4Windows, and I think that's the one that helped me first time with Win10... But I'm not 100% sure, can't remember..

Hi keko! There’s a few things you can do here but maybe start by unplugging it then removing the Wireless Controller from the devices list under Audio and anywhere else on the Bluetooth and other devices section and go ahead and plug it in again and press the PS button. Also do you have Bluetooth on your pc?

the shear and power button worked for me , held both down white light on controller blinking , then on pc add bluetooth and bam it's working again. oh i did do a reset on the controller first . thank you very much
