The alternate paddles on the fps strikepack made a massive difference for me comfort wise. How did they compare to the sony paddles for you? within 1 hour of using the alternate paddles, I cant go back to using thumb on the D-pad!

I paid 10$ for my ps back button attachment, thru sonys website. I got both as well, and enjoy both. The wire doesn't bother me, because I'm not far from my console to begin with, but I must say the Sony definitely feels more durable and better made. I don't use or even understand how the mod part works on the dominator works, so that means nothing to me. I do like the comfort of the button locations on the dominator better.

Keep in mind the FPS Dominator has mods if you like those!! They are fun even if they are a bit unfair. You can also bind two buttons to one of the paddles on the FPS. It’s all personal preference but non hardcore gamers, the back button is the more viable option.

Why don't companies just put back paddles on the controller in the first place such that when a developer goes to make a game they just see back paddles as extra buttons on the controller white any other console the PS1 introduced having for shoulder buttons instead of two for example so now we should introduce paddles

Exactly!!! That’s the game breaker between these two. For example I assign L2+R2 to left paddle for ADS+Trigger at same time. It appears you can only assign one button to one paddle at a time.

The PS5 is going hard on esports. I wouldn't be surprised if paddles are integrated in the DS5. They could also go in Apple's direction and sell attachments like these. I think option 2 is more likely.

I have a back button attachment and love it. I'm not much of an fps player; I've mostly been using it for Bloodborne/Sekiro/Souls games, and it's great. You can map the dodge/run button to the left paddle, and then you can run through areas with one had drink a beer with the other.

Spent over 200$ on a scuf impact and it came with a right analog drift . Can’t send it back because of the covid . I’m stuck with a controller that makes my guy turn left on its own . Very disappointing and it’s affecting my pvp game in apex , MW and destiny . I also had a pro scuf and lasted me 2 years with no problems at all thought I upgrade to the impact but came messed up . I have the wired dominator one but never used it due to it being wired and different than a scuff, kept it in the box for 2 years. I’m currently waiting on my back ps4 button to be delivered and I’m using the dominator for now. Last but not least don’t get a scuf , I will never buy another one again. They failed me lol . You would think hey it’s your second scuf tho it happens , no I’ve heard of people’s controllers breaking in less than 2 months or 6. Thought it will never happen to me . Best advice from a long time scuf user don’t buy a scuf .

ItsRePlayz Wait I’m confused, does that even matter though, considering our controllers are wireless and not wired, and the Sony attachment connects directly into the ext port (con: reduced controller battery life), while the strike pack connects into the usb hub on the ps4 (con: wired), but it’s not like the strike pack is directly sending inputs to the ps4, it’s just remaps the controllers keys, and still sends it through the wireless controller. Correct me if I’m wrong?

DrJamesYT I know that, you totally missed the point though, because the ps4 controller is Bluetooth and has input delay, so regardless of the attachment being wired to the ps4 for power or directly connected to the ps4 controller it’s going to have the same delay as the controller. The only way the strike pack would be better is if it sent direct info to the ps4 instead of remapping the already wireless ps4 controller. So regardless since the Bluetooth ps4 controller is the middle man in the connection there will be an input delay.

damn. sucks that you returned it, but i know what you mean. where those buttons are, your fingers naturally fit right there. feels like you dont have a grip anymore. but what i have learned from someone else is that if we just loosen up the Man Grip we have on our controllers, they'd last longer. I say screw that. I hold my controllers like I give handshakes, nice & firm. Now I am finding myself overusing those buttons due to me not feeling like i have that good grip on it at times.

Strikepack feels better IMO. I have both and a scuf impact. I prefer the scuf but they always break.i had the strikepack for 3 years and it is always reliable. I never had a issue and its vary comfortable . Only bad thing about the back button attachment is that it just feels awkward.the buttons are too thick and it a slightly awkward place imo.i used it for a few days then went back to the dominator. The ps back button attachment works fine and is wireless. Maybe someone can use to the shape of it but for me it didn't work.

I bought the DS Back Attachment. I love this thing. This thing turns your controller into an "Expensive Pro Controller" completely. These are so good that they are SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE. I overpaid for mine on ebay, but still worth it IMO. Word of advise to anyone who ends up getting one, Use it on a dedicated controller. When you take it off of your controller, you will swear you just broke it.

I bought the strike pack fps dominator first, love it except no wireless. Then I got a scuff vantage..had a bunch of issues but overall it is an OK controller. It cost over 200$ and I had/have minor stick drift, sticky buttons and the thumb sticks don’t seem as accurate as the ds4...I now use a dual shock that I opened up and put scuff thumb sticks in(for heighth) no modification required. The scuff sticks fit perfect on my ds4...I now only use my ds4 with scuff sticks and waiting on this DS4BBA and I’m super excited. This review made me even mode excited. Thanx. Ima do a review and compare all three..👍🏼✌🏼✊🏼

That's petty cool I didn't know you could use the scuf sticks on regular ps4 remote. My scuf always breaks as well. I actually have three and always have atleast one in the shop. The strikepack is much better than the back button attachment imo. As far as ease of use and comfort. Back button attachment constantly disconnects despite being wired or wireless. They must need to do a update to the software or something I tried on several remotes with same issue. Have 40 plus hours on back button attachment and I just don't care much for it. It does work fine when it works and its easy to use. But its really thick. You will see once you get it. Good luck!!

I just installed scuf sticks on all my ds4s. Have the bba on all and it is actually a great setup. I put different size sticks on them all to accommodate all different games. I'm going to order xbox elite sticks so I can swap them easily instead of taking controller apart. Im probably also going to mill a bit head for that scuf security screw once I get a little time so I can work on the scuf myself. Tired of sending it out too pay 60 bucks and wait a month to get my controller back only for them to put a 3 dollar part in it ..

ryne mioletti a ds4 with scuff sticks and the bba is a bad ass setup. I run long dome right and medium dome left with the bba and it’s absolutely awesome! No issues playing wireless, zero input lag. I’ve had one disconnect out of about 10 hrs playing. I love it! I prefer it over the mobpack because wire. I highly recommend the bba. I also recommend buying a (scuff vantage accessory kit) about 20$ so you can get a ton of extra sticks for your DualShock. I honestly think this setup is elite as hell. Super awesome! I even went to a much higher sensitivity because I can!!! Excited and impressed by Sony. I hope the ds5 has back paddles and thumb stick extensions standard.

Tried the back button but stuck with the dominator. The paddles are too big for my big hands and I end up hitting the left trigger on accident which leads to cognitive lag in my games trying to readjust. I'll still keep it tho for adventure games

You touched on some good points like price and comfortably but i feel you missed a huge part if you are a person who plays on PC with a PS4 controller. If you use the strike back on PC, the touchpad does not work without downloading 3rd party software which causes other major issues. The 2 button Sony Attachment works right out of the box on PC with no issues.I have both, but if you were undecided, i would get the Sony 2 button attachment. The products are not even close when you measure all the Pros vs Cons between the 2.

So I did something kinda interesting recently. I took my PS4 controller apart, messed with it, ended up drilling a hole through the bottom, messed with the wiring, about 3 hours or so later, voila! I successfully merged both of these exact items together into a fully functional *quad* button lay out. I’m sure you’d be like “uhhh, how?” I might post a video of it just to show what I mean but, yep, it works. 4 under barrel buttons, all programmable just like before. I’ve used it on fortnite, CoD, Crossout, works great. Huge bonus being able to not have to take your thumbs off the sticks - for _any_ button. Lol, I was proud of myself.

Fits perfectly for how I hold my controller and not gonna lie, the mods are pretty fun 😂 I’d definitely recommend it over the DS4 back button attachment, simply because you get more for your money. Plus the custom cable you get with it is 10ft long so you don’t have to worry about sitting right in front of your ps4.

It’s most likely because they want everybody to be on the same thing with nothing more. A regular DualShock 4 is at an immense disadvantage compared to a DualShock 4 with kontrol freeks, paddles and mods

@@Yo-bx4bj yeah, for sure and on ps4, your taking all the input of the controller and making the strike pack be an extra piece of hardware for the single to go through, and the strike pack has to be wired, which may be a supprise to you but the wireless ps4 controller has less input delay than the wired

strike pack has terrible input delay and on top of that has to be wired (which does add input delay compared to wireless) wireless has less input delay than wired *for ps4 controllers* , but to be on honest, if your not a cracked competitive player then you may not tell the difference, but if you are seriously competitive then the strike pack's delay will be irritating and hold you back, wired ps4 controller has 4ms delay on the gen 2 models with the light bar on the touch pad, and wirelessly has 1.25ms delay. i have no clue how much the strike pack adds in delay to the 4ms already wired but it is for sure noticeable compared to wired without the strike pack. anyone that reviews the strike pack always never mention the delay on it cause im sure they are around average players and dont notice it

I have and continue to purchase every controller and piece of tech that comes out. The best 2 controllers on the market are cinch and battle beaver. If you want performance and not mods. That is IMO the best way to go. Little pricy but well worth it. Owner of cinch, scuff, C40 and more....

3:00 eehh no, you assign the buttons you use the most on the paddles so you can keep your thumb on the joystick for aiming, usually it is jump (x) so not the furtest away and slide (o) , you don't want to assignchange weapon (triangle) on those paddles that's pretty useless.

I want to go ahead and say thankyou my good man, I bought the new backbutton and I have had no issues with it at all it is perfect, sometimes I do change controls mid game and everything, it’s so quick I don’t have to worry about inactivity kicking in, it’s good to know I can always trust you reviews 💯 Also if you want to add this in they are actually selling them at Walmart for like 25$ or something and that couple dollar difference definitely makes a change on my decision whether I should buy it or not, much love to one of my favorite channels ♥️ (pause)

If you use a wireless headset, the dominators can be a pain in the ass. because they use the same type of connection. If your cord comes unplugged in the middle of play, you have to reconnect the remote, as well as the headset. I think I'm going to try the PS4 back button next.

Sony and Microsoft probably won't ships consoles with controllers that have paddles until 2031, when SCUF's patent on controllers with "additional controls located on the back" expires. Currently, if MS or Sony want to make "elite" style controllers, they have to pay a (probably huge) licensing fee to SCUF, which is why they are all expensive. SCUF has legal control over the market for them.
